Jason Muldoon; Phony SF Major, wounded vet

| May 23, 2015

Jason Muldoon (6)

The folks at Military Phonies send us their work on this doofus, Jason Muldoon who parades around Myrtle Beach with a military ID card that says he’s a Major in the Army. He tell you all about his experiences in Panama, Desert Storm, Kosovo, Somalia – his Purple Heart. Of course, he’s also Special Forces, blah, blah, blah. Here’s the story he told his local news folks over ten years ago (they’ve since pulled the story, but here it is at Free Republic);

(West Haven-WTNH, Nov. 17, 2004 11:00 PM) _ The military is investigating this past weekend’s shooting inside a Fallujah mosque in which a Marine shot an injured insurgent.

A local veteran who fought in the Gulf War says shooting an already wounded enemy is not that uncommon.

In fact in some cases he says it’s all part of the training.

According this West Haven veteran there’s even a name for shooting a wounded person. It’s called “double tapping” and it’s done just in case the person has a gun or the body is boobie trapped.

“I’ve seen my friends blown up right in front of my face. I’ve done some pretty horrific things and your conscience just comes back,” says Major Jason Muldoon, US Army Retired.

This is Major Jason Muldoon. The Army special forces veteran fought in Panama, the first Gulf War, Somalia and Afghanistan.

In Afghanistan a rocket propelled grenade took out the Black Hawk helicopter he was in, leaving schrapnel in his leg.

Three years later he’s still using a wheel chair.

He won the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart but doesn’t want to be called a hero.

“I don’t view myself as a hero. I hate the word hero.”

He agreed to talk to us because of this video of a Marine shooting an apparently unarmed injured man in a Fallujah mosque.

“It kind of aggravates me. You’re going to get the whole country upset about an incident when nobody really knows what happened until the unit can do their own investigation.”

Major Muldoon says despite what the video looks like and sounds like the Marine was likely scared for his life, relying on his training.

“We were taught kill, kill, kill, kill and you know they really didn’t spend too much time on Geneva Convention.”

Muldoon says yes the Marine should have checked and treated the wounded but in a war zone a combatant’s first priority is not civilized behavior- it’s survival.

“Life has a flavor the protected will never know and its so true the protected will never know what it’s like to have to be over there and be in that kids situation.”

Major Muldoon says given what the Marine had been through he may have shot the man too.

He says it’s up to the officer in charge to stop those sweeping a room from shooting but there’s an inherent problem with that, the officer in charge isn’t normally inside until after the room is clean.

He pretty much just wants someone to kick his ass for this BS.

Jason Muldoon (3)

The truth is that he was a PFC and he deployed to Desert Storm, but he doesn’t have a CIB, even though he was an infantryman – you can assume what you want about an infantryman assigned to an infantry unit in an area where there is combat.

Muldoon, Maroon, Moron…

See how that works?

At least we finally learned what the definition of “double-tap” is. I’ve had it wrong all of these years.

11B with the 327th at Campbell and no Bullwinkle badge? Probably boloed…

Discharged as a PFC…couldn’t hang with the E-4 Mafia?

And SF was recruiting (hiring) heavily then at Campbell, trying to get 3rd Group up and running.

Loser Deluxe.

Big Steve

I was thinking the same thing, unless his 214 has omissions, which happens. Did with me.
But if he was in 2/327 and not AA qualified, he would have been an outcast at best, and just a total dud at worst.

Thunderstixx

Hey, go easy on us old E-3’s from the 70’s.
I got busted just before I pcs’d to Ft Lewis and then got hidden at Huck Creek.
Weirdly enough, I was proud of it at the time!
Oh well, I did get the full Honorable Discharge, unbelievably.
I still thank God and my Guardian Angel for helping me to get that after all the crap I pulled!!!

Wild Bill

TS, when were you up at Huck Creek? I lived in Greenwater from 85-90 and had a few parties at my place for you guys and the 3Para, had some good buddies from the camp, one that lived in my house by the river.

Ex-344MP

I can’t stand do dumb assist like this and I was never Infantry. I can only imagine how it makes you guys feel who were.

I gotta say though, as interesting as the column are here, reading Bernaths rants is even more entertaining.

Warrior0369

You can see Bernath’s rants? He must have me blocked somehow.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

So, the facebook post above is very interesting. No doubt investigators will get a copy of his filth.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

Woo-hoo! We’re a gang. Do we get vests and Colors and cool nicknames?

Wait – we already have cool nicknames…

Ex-344MP

I think our gang colors should be……wait for it …… Camoflage!

Big Steve

Funniest post of the day!

OWB

As long as the colors are red, white and blue, I’m good with it.

Skippy

Skippy

I saw something about the marines sueing people for useing there multi-cam with out permission. So we may get it from two ends aka DOD and DOJ

Skippy

Da crazy man is back Lol…..

An Old Arty Sgt

What does that idiot Bernath has to do with this bag of crap?? He should have his own special little corner. Now my eyes are sore from reading his trash..

Guys, please keep the stories apart.

Skippy

What a understatement

A Proud Infidel®™

I think that’s what you get when you ignore an idiot like Daniel A. Bernath. He’s so obsessed with being the center of everyone’s attention that he’ll explode his idiocy everywhere he can every time he’s ignored for a long enough period of time.

Skippy

What is a Army lapel button ??
Odd I don’t remember those

Andy11M

A rubber stamp thankyou “award” everyone who gets out of the Army has on their 214.

Big Steve

Must be a post-1990 thing..

rgr1480

Crap I was medically Retierd in mid 2013 from my Bo-Bo overseas all I got was a flag and three certificates of thank you from Big Bird, Gen O, and sec of the army and a AAM, AND a 214. That say I was deployed for 7 years missing all of my schooling they said to refer to my other 214s for the schooling ! !

Skippy

The deployed length of time being a Bo-Bo on there part. I’m still trying to get it fixed

nbcguy54ACTUAL

A modern version of the “Ruptured Duck” patch.

A Proud Infidel®™

3 years and out as an E3, what stellar mediocrity!

Poetrooper

Actually, Infidel, that’s only 2.5 years and I was wondering about that. Aren’t enlistments for three full years?

Also, this turkey was in my old company. I served with it first as Echo Company, 1st Airborne Battle Group, 327th Infantry at Ft. Campbell in the early sixties then again after the 1964 regimental transition, in Vietnam in ’66, when it had become Bravo Company, 2d Battalion, 327th Airborne Infantry.

As we all know, no matter how proud we are of having served with the most distinctive units, such organizations always contain a few bad apples, soldiers with the perfect psychological profiles to be Stolen Valor jerks later on.

A Proud Infidel®™

My first AD stint was in the Army from 91-94, and the enlistment options back then were 2 year, 3 year, and 4 year. If one chose a 2 year stint, they had an obligation to serve in a NG or reserve unit afterward as well, 2.5 years and exiting as an E3 says to me that he was either a bigtime dud or a dick-stepper that his unit wanted to get rid of ASAP.

Hondo

The handwritten discharge on his record of assignments has the type of discharge redacted. But it doesn’t seem to be a long enough blacked-out space to spell out “Honorable”.

It does, however, seem to be long enough to spell out “General”.

gwbarnes

I commanded B/2/327 in Vietnam in 70-71.

CLAW131

Welcome Home,Sir,from a fellow RVN 101 vet.

C/101 Avn (Black Widows) Phu Bai 71-72.

gwbarnes

Thank you. We may have flown together.

Skippy

A Proud Infidel. We had a few career E-4s in my first unit overseas

Animal

This guy is special. I was in the Al-Anbar province when Fallujah was happening. It was a place that anyone who wasn’t there had no business offering advice to an already naive American public. It’s one thing to lie about actual service, but to actually criticize and critique is a whole other level of depravity. How dare him.

Blaster

I was thinking the same thing.

It would nice if the Marine involved could have a one on one conversation with this turd to explain his actions to him in person.

Yef

What was that post about Jonn?
Is it an attempt to shoot down TAH? Is that guy posting that a valor thief exposed here at TAH?

the Al

He’s just upset that TAH outed him as a phony Chief Petty Officer. He’s had a hate-on for the site every since

Skippy

He has been posting all kinds of crazy stuff on here as long as I’ve been posting on here, he is sore about getting caught faking his record and and is very unstable

Skippy

Crap this post was ment for Yef

CLAW131

At last the mystery is solved.
People have been trying for almost 25 years to put a name to the face of who the hell that goofy assed dud was.
As the story goes during DS/DS, a call was put out to the line companies for KP detail at the Battalion Field Mess and this extra duty shithead was sent up there from B Company.
No one remembered his name, only that they called him “Remora”, because when he reported for duty he latched onto the First Cook’s ass so hard it took two spatulas and a can of Break-Free CLP to pry him loose.
But no CIB for him as he became the permanent pots and pans man and was pulling that duty when the ground war occurred.
So now we can all breathe easier as his name and face will now live forever on the interwebz.

I guess a sarcasm disclaimer/not a true story entry is not really necessary, but I don’t want Spec8 Moerk to start fuming and pacing the house when she sees this comment. After all, this LSOS did get a ARCOM for duties performed during a period of war and didn’t have to resort to Facebook trolling to get one.

Skippy

Brown-nosier like Roaches put worse LMAO ! ! !

Skippy

But not put. Spell checker is working on overdrive

riflemusket

The ARCOM doesn’t surprise me. I guess this unit had the same policy as my unit during ODS concerning awards. Sadly we had substandard individuals receiving awards which they did not deserve..

Skippy

We had a low speed and Very HIGH Drag.. Ass kisser given a bronze star. and all he basically was swallow and not spit ! ! !

A Proud Infidel®™

Been there, seen that. ARCOM was the blanket EOT award in our Unit in A-stan, but I saw plenty of REMFs that never left the wire get BSMs for making coffee in HQ and keeping their A/C running.

Yef

Only the BSM with V counts anyway. Meritorious BSM are given to officers for just showing up for a deployment.

A Proud Infidel®™

As well as Senior NCO’s and those who know & blow the right people.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

Riflemusket- you’re not saying that for some units after DS/DS E6 and above = BS, and E5 and below = ARCOM are ya??

Say it wasn’t so…

😉

Mr Wolf

I have to keep coming back here to edumacate y’all-

Sgt Muldoon was the head dude in John Wayne’s ‘The Green Berets’

So yeah, by association, Jason here gets to be one.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063035/?ref_=nv_sr_4

CLAW131

Aldo Ray (MSG Muldoon) would have kicked this LSOS’s ass with one flipper and both arms tied behind his back.

Seeing as how was a WWII UDT Frogman who saw action at Okinawa.(according to WIKI)

Hand salute for your service,Sir. RIP.

Sparks

Shitbag!

Green Thumb

Extra Shitbag.

ChipNASA

10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag!!
😀

Carlton G. Long

Especially disturbing because my illustrious career spanned the years 1989-1992…I could have ended up serving with this Sparkle Pony.

RunPatRun

Small world, I recruited him when in I was in USAREC. Shame he didn’t take advantage of his opportunities in the Army and do well. smh

Green Thumb

It seems the Hells Angels sniffed this turd out. Good for them.

But this maggot should not sweat it, There is a certain MC down there in Florida that will bring him on board. Just ask the “Big Turd” Riley Keeton.
