Sunday morning feel good stories

| April 26, 2015

This morning’s tales of gun-wielding good guys begin with this one from Ohio;

Around 5:30 Friday night, the man walked into The Wireless store on West Galbraith Road and pointed a gun at the clerk. The clerk had a gun in the store. The video shows him grab it, he backs into a back room and fires toward the robber. He ran outside the glass in the front door shattered. Police are hoping the public will be able to help after seeing the video.

The next story comes from Alabama;

Police say the burglary happened in the 200 block of Cornell Road, which is located near Faulkner University between Atlanta Highway and Wares Ferry Road.

Police say the owner of the home where the burglary was taking place, returned home and noticed that someone had forced their way into the residence. The homeowner entered the home and noticed two suspects inside the home who were attempting to leave. Police say the homeowner then fired a shot at the suspects.

Police are still looking for the perps who police are unsure of their particular medical condition, and the homeowner is unharmed – the point of the whole thing.

Those stories were from Chief Tango. ThommyMac sends this one from Pennsylvania about a shopper who saw an elderly man who was being confronted by a crowd of youths;

When he had his gun drawn, the attackers turned their attention to him.

“They kept yelling, ‘This isn’t your fight, you need to walk away and you need to put the gun down,’” he recalled.

While all this was happening, other shoppers pulled out weapons of their own – cellphones – so they could record the incident and call police.

By the time police arrived, the attackers and the victim had taken off.

It turned out, they were all related. Police say the elderly man was an uncle being assaulted by his nephew.

The courageous shopper said he’s been carrying legally for years and is glad he’s never had to draw his weapon before.

He said his actions wouldn’t change if he was in the situation again.

“If you see a crime happening and you see someone getting injured and you have the ability to stop it, you should,” he said.

That poor deprived young man was just trying to get his free (section-8) Obama phone. Or perhaps he thought it was a voter registration office.

So teenager nephew wanted to beat on his elderly uncle and needed all his homies for backup?

Blech … somebody … maybe several somebodies, need a serious trip to the woodshed.

The guy in the large group was brave, very brave.
Like the Kurt Russell quote “I’ll turn your head into a canoe Jake”

That’s young punks for you, they’re only bold when they have their intended victim outnumbered by at least eight to one, and that’s when the intended victim is either elderly or say, a 5’4″ petite Woman in a tight dress and heels!
