Wednesday feel good stories
It’s been a busy day for the forces of good fighting evil. The first story is from Tennessee;
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department investigators said three men went to the door of a home on March Mill Road Saturday night and told the homeowner to put his hands in the air. The homeowner pulled a handgun and was shot in the right arm, but he also returned fire, authorities said.
Where’s the story? PointsMentioned Map 4 Points MentionedA short time later, Madison County deputies responded to McDonald’s in Hazel Green for a gunshot victim. Madison and Lincoln investigators determined the shooting victim at McDonald’s, Dustin Elmer Hood was tied to the Lincoln County home invasion.
Eric Wesley Atchley, 26, was arrested and is in the Madison County Metro Jail. Dustin Elmer Hood, who was hospitalized with a gunshot wound, will also be taken into custody after he is released, investigators said. Both will be charged with aggravated assault.
One of the miscreants is still on the loose, so keep an eye out, Tennessee.
Next is Missouri;
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies observed a male lying outside the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene, as a result of gunshot wounds. The male later was identified by fingerprints as Ronald Lee Salmons Jr. age 45. Salmons resided at 13013 Dorsey Lane.
According to witnesses at the scene, Salmons was armed with a knife and he had made forced entry into the residence located at 12945 Dorsey Lane, threatening the occupants inside. Salmons was then reportedly shot with a small caliber weapon, and retreated outside the residence where he collapsed.
Now from New Mexico;
After the shooting, a woman called 911 to report that her husband shot someone who was trying to break in. When police arrived at the home, they found a body lying next to a 6-inch knife.
Police said the intruder was trying to gain access to the home and was shot after a brief struggle. They also said the intruder possibly caused a disturbance at a neighbor’s house down the street earlier in the evening.
Finally, we stop in Alabama;
Tim Foster said he noticed the burglary in progress on Monday morning and stepped into action.
“I was standing here watching him, and he busted the window outside the house and I called 911,” said Foster.
But Foster didn’t stop there. He was making sure this thief didn’t get away.
“I took my gun and told him I was going to hold him at gunpoint ’til they got here. But when he came out he jumped in the car and took off. I shot his back tires out and I shot the back window out,” said Foster.
Police were able to get the suspect before he even made it out of the neighborhood.

Nice. 4 incidents of trying to take something that belongs to others, and 4 cases of a gun owner coming to the rescue. That 2 were shot dead will save the taxpayers the expense of trials for them.
Preach it brother!
Seriously, how do the anti gun crowd react to these good shoots? I bet they don’t acknowledge them because statistically there are more good shoots, than bad.
I guess I just don’t understand the anti gun crowd. Hell they won in Newtown, Ct yesterday because they had Lancaster house torn down and now it’s an empty lot.
Why tear down a house? Really?
Lanza, not Lancaster (hell of a Bomber in WW2 though)
How will they react? For the same reason they tore down the Lanza house. According to them, “Guns . . . skaaaary! Guns . . . baaaaad!”
I’d guess they’re scared sh!tless by spiders, too. And probably by their own shadows as well. (smile)
The anti-gun types probably think that we should invite the bad guys to sit down for coffee n donuts, to talk over their problems in life.
It was torn down so that curiosity seekers and the rather ghoulish people who like to visit places like that would have nothing to see.
Personally, considering the creepy factor, I thought it was a good idea. By creepy, I mean the ‘Amityville’ creepiness. There are people who are that ghoulish.
Same reason they tore down the house where that guy had imprisoned 3 women for so many years.
I bet they don’t acknowledge them because statistically there are more good shoots, than bad.
They’ll acknowledge them, alright. They will be listed as “homicides by gun” and thrown into the tally to show just how bad guns are.
The middle two stories:
Stoopidity on steroids, bringing a knife to a gun fight. And now they’re dead. Good. Hopefully they didn’t have the opportunity to pass their stoopid genes to the next generation, clean out the gene pool a little more.
“And the world is a more peaceful place, beginning now.”
WOW !!!! A Fourfer on Hump Day !!!
Nice to see a couple of them were sent to the great ghetto in the sky to ply their trade there !!!
The second one was great and proves that a well aimed shot with a small caliber weapon can be deadly.
Which means that range time is always good time !!!
Easy, they’ll ask why were men who only had knives murdered by bloodthirsty gun owners.
I’ll let someone make the obvious observation about knives & guns. 🙂
Shooting out the back tires and window of a fleeing vehicle, which I have no problem with myself, is legal if the person shooting is not in danger? It would seem to me he is on tricky ground here
Depends on the state. In some areas, if the perp had stolen goods with him, it would be considered a legitimate attempt to recover stolen property.
A 350 – 400 pound guy robed a Domino’s Pizza place. The guy prefers plain cheese pies… has a distinct (blobfish?) look… hmmm.. Dennis (Denny) Howard Chevalier has been silent over the past few days… I wonder… did Cheeseboy take a long trip and make the wrong turn? 😯
5’8″ to 5’9″? He must’ve tried to look tactical, hence the reduced height. 🙄
Maybe the videos would identify someone else, but couldn’t resist this one.
