State Department combats terror

State Department stop terrorism in it's tracks

The State Department is out of ideas to combat terror, so, they ask you how they can fight extremism and they launch this cutesy logo pictured above.

Secretary Kerry described this effort as the “the defining fight of our generation” and a task not just for governments but everyone, including civil society, the faith community, foundations and philanthropists, and the private sector. The Secretary urged the Summit participants to provide their ideas and suggestions on how we can counter violent extremism, and we ask you:

What solutions do you think are most critical to countering violent extremism?

Personally, I think we should release all of the detainees from Guantanamo, that would cure most of the problem. We should also give weapons to everyone who tells us that they’re moderate rebels (because why would they lie to infidels?) I think that police and the lawyers can fight the war against terror better than the military – I’d rather have the legal system entrusted with our safety at home than having our military fight the extremists in their own countries. Also, we should stop arming countries like Syria and Egypt which are carrying the fight to the extremists in their backyards. Instead, we should arm moderate rebels in Syria who will eventually turn those weapons on our troops. Also, the Federal government should tell us which hash tag we can use to defeat extremism. There should be a Department of Hashtags in the President’s Cabinet.

Or, maybe not.

First step….purge the US Gov’t. of progressive anti-American traitors, from the top down. Start with Obama and Kerry and continue down the ranks.

Secondly…..stop financing, supporting, arming terrorists and stop making excuses for the intent of islam. There is a 1400 year history of murder, conquest, oppression and subjugation based upon a pedophile, murderous, false prophet.

I’m copying this from the ‘DHS’ thread, because it belongs in both places.

I want to add one very real thing about the legitimacy of ISIS. I said elsewhere that they’ve declared themselves a caliphate, which by their rules makes them a legitimate group.

However – and this must be clearly understood – the entire goal of a caliph (head of the caliphate) is to continue to acquire territory or he must be purged. This is in THEIR rules, not something that I made up on the spur of the moment. This means that if al-Baghdadi, the current caliph, stops the efforts to expand ISIS territory, he can be executed for failing to obey the rules of the caliphate.

Look back into history, all of it, and you’ll see that the original expansion included all of the north African coast, up into Europe as far as Paris, Sicily, parts of Italy, Turkey and northward into central Asia, aka Asia Minor.

Despite the efforts of the Crusades, the caliphate was never completely driven out, because its remnants still existed in the Balkans – remember that business? – and they still exist in countries like Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Tajikistan, Chechnya, Georgia, etc. It reaches as far east as the Uighurs in China.

Where did the Tsarnaev brothers come from – you know, those Boston Marathon bombers?

Do I need to go any further with this?

Refusing to use the word ISIS for this expansionist terrorist group by saying that it makes them ‘legitimate’ is a complete denial of reality.

They ARE a legitimate group, whether that asshole in the Oval Office likes it or not. They are simply continuing to follow the path that was set in place centuries ago.

In addition, an asinine phony report cobbled together by a dipstick wannabe ‘network’ like CNN is NOT verification of anything at all. It is twaddle.

That’s all I have to say.

AMEN!

The solution to violent extremism begins in Martinsburg, West Virginia? Towson, Maryland? Ithaca, New York? I had no idea! Cool. As soon as this global warming stops falling, I’m going to go find me some violent extremism solution. Kerry said it’s here somewhere and, by gosh, I mean to find it!

valerie

I think it would be a good start to ask all of the President’s advisors, including the Muslims, to read the Hamas Covenant http://middleeast.about.com/od/palestinepalestinians/a/me080106b.htm
and ask them what they are going to do about the ongoing advertising campaign to convince Muslims that they have an individual, religious duty to kill every last Jew.

Sparks

“What solutions do you think are most critical to countering violent extremism?” What do I think? Well, first, secure our sovereign borders from all illegal invasion of our country from anyone. Next, allow all citizens, legally able to own a firearm, be able to own and conceal carry nationwide. Then start infiltrating known Muslim enclaves in America who support in finances and ideology their terrorists brothers here and abroad. At least as much as they do the “homegrown”, practice in the woods, idiots who don’t like the government. Also, and most important, fund and restore our standing military force to adequate levels to defend this nation. As well as, take care of the veterans they have promised and failed to keep their word to.

Flagwaver

Wow, such racism.

I bet the next thing you’re going to suggest is that if anyone attacks us, we launch an immediate full-scale war against them and any country that harbors them. If they are being protected by a legitimate government, then that government is out enemy. We don’t stop until the power base of that government, or of that militant group, is dead to the last man. After that, we don’t nation build. We leave a notice on the pile of rubble that used to the their headquarters saying, “next time, don’t fuck with America.” After that, we leave and call it “mission accomplished.”

Ex-PH2

What do you expect from someone whose last name rhymes with ‘scary’?

Here’s an idea for fighting terrorism: sKerry resigns and goes home to watch TV.

That’s the start. Fill in the blanks.

MustangCryppie

Just highlights how deeply unserious this administration is.

A Proud Infidel®™

I’m sure that B. Hussein 0bama & Company are FAR more concerned about disarming Vets as well as other law-abiding people and not giving a damn about the illegal aliens still pouring over our borders who are being looked at by liberals as future demo-rat voters!

Pam

Man, just when you think this Administration can’t get any dumber!

Hondo

Geez. What’s next – a campaign to get everyone together to sing “I’d Love to Buy the World a Coke” or “Kumbaya?”

nbcguy54ACTUAL

Make it a Pepsi and I might think about it…

nbcguy54ACTUAL

Okay. Done thinking.

Nope.

Mustang1LT

What about if we make it an Royal Crown Cola? Maybe throw in a couple of Moon Pies?

🙂

valerie

I’d hold out for some beer, chips, and guacamole.

Ex-PH2

What I wouldn’t give for a chance to face sKerry down by calling him and his boss lying assholes.

MrBill

Curse you, Hondo – now I’m not going to be able to get “I’d Like To Teach The World To SIng” out of my head!

Ex-PH2

Q: What solutions do you think are most critical to countering violent extremism?

A: Get in touch with reality, you lump of pickle skin. Call a spade a spade. Otherwise, you and that asshole you work for are both displaying a complete denial of reality.
And stop going for plastic surgery, sKerry. Your face is caving in.

B Woodman

Send them ALL back to deNile, and let them swim in it.

AW1Ed

As a Navy type, I’ve been raised to believe that the judicious application of high explosives, accurately delivered, will solve many ills.

But that’s just me.

HAPPINESS is a warm machine gun, a pile of spent brass, and a battlefield covered with the corpses of terrorists.

Richard

I read this in a book,

Regardless of what your mother told you, sometimes violence does solve problems.

I read this on that STUPID state department graphic:

engage
mentor
support
communicate
partner
educate

YHGTBSM! I bet that ISIS and the countries that support them assume that this is some sort of diversion or trick and they are spending a lot of money to find out what we are really doing. At least that is the best we can hope for. Because if the DOS is serious … wow.

Ex-PH2

It makes them FEEL so good, Richard, and that’s what it’s all about. They just don’t want to offend anyone.

Unfortunately, they are offending a helluva lot of people, including many, many Democrats who are no longer on the wagon with them.

B Woodman

My takes on Jonn’s first two steps:
“Personally, I think we should release all of the detainees from Guantanamo, that would cure most of the problem.”
Only if each and every Gitmo detainee is released to live with a Mordor-by-the-Potomac Libtard politician staffer, and sycophant. There should be enough of the latter to house each and every one of the former.

“We should also give weapons to everyone who tells us that they’re moderate rebels (because why would they lie to infidels?)”
Since the DC poly-ticks are so very very loath to name Islam as a religion of terror, maybe they won’t ask MY religion. Do you think I could declare myself a “moderate rebel” (never said of what) and get weapons and ammo of my choice handed to me?
That means I’ll have to dye my blonde hair a shade or two darker, but other then that, I’m good.

rb325th

I want to know, what alternative freaking universe do these idiots live in? Bin Laden, multi millionaire family, great education and job…a good chunk of the hijackers on 9/11 were educated men. The same runs true today in many of those flocking to Islamic Terrorist groups. They are not stupid people, they are not without the means and opportunity to hold a legitimate job in life. Especially all those flocking to ISIS from around the globe, Europe and the US in particular. The clown show down there in DC is beyond embarrassing.

Ex-PH2

If you find out, would you let me know?

I thought it only happened in fantasy fiction. Now, I’m not so sure.

Nothing wrong with finding some decent jobs for Jihadis.

Here are a few-http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CYMJY8pSWbQ/VOi7Pry-l3I/AAAAAAAB8g0/jjNK4Hcie3g/s1600/4d189d20.jpg

Thunderstixx

See my retort to brian on Jonn’s last post…
I am sick to death of these fucks.
I’ll see if I have been banned yet for blowing off a bit of steam…
I am just sick to death of these fuckwad liberals and their incomprehensible stupidity…

Brian

Do you remember why we went to war in Iraq?

Don’t you think it’s a bit simple minded to just blame it on “fuckwad liberals?”

It’s a mess, it’s a real big mess and both political parties had their fingers in it.

valerie

I was watching, and I saw those “fuckwad liberals” vote to go to war, and then decide the undermine the effort so that they could “ride the Iraq war all the way to the White House” — which is why the voters fired Tom Daschle.

There was a consensus to go to that war. It is total bullshit for Democrats to claim that this was Bush’s war. He was President at the time, but he had the full support of the Democratic Party, and the Democratic members of Congress had access to the SAME intelligence information as the WH.

Mustang1LT

Yes, actually we do and many of us here actually WENT fuckstick. You may want to shut the fuck up before you really piss one of us off, you mealy-mouthed son of a bitch.

Brian

It’s stupid to blame it on one party (ie “fuckwad liberals”) and equally as much, it’s a big stupid mess now.

Don’t claim special pops around me, I got my ticket punched too. You are not special, neither am I.

This is just ridiculous. I don’t think it’s at all possible to have a decent conversation with a majority of commenters.

ANYWAY, back to the logo. Me thinks they’re having better luck tapping your phone lines and reading your email.

Richard

Both parties supported going to war. In order to win, it was necessary to (a) defeat the existing regime, (b) deal with those who opposed the new situation (c) create a new situation with a different form of government (d) change the culture so that it would work with the new government (e) rebuild security forces loyal to the new government and (f) all the while continue to deal with (b) above including people and money from Iran, Saudi, Turkey, Syria, and elsewhere.

That would have taken a long time. After supporting the decision to go to war, the democrats changed their mind and decided to oppose the war. I assert that was for political purposes. They hoped to use their vote FOR the war to win the presidency in 2004. When that didn’t work, they flipped. Appealing to their base, leaders on the political left created a coalition large enough to defeat the Republican president in 2008 and withdraw from Iraq before the project was complete.

President Bush’s execution was imperfect (no dispute there) but the overall plan was the right one. By withdrawing support, the Democrats preventing the US from completing the steps.

Mr. Obama was elected to office and his plan was to withdraw US troops and support for the elected Iraqi government – let the Iraqis figure this all out for themselves. Mr. Obama and the democratic party own that decision and they own the consequences.

As recent events have shown, the original plan was the right one (once again we have ground combat troops in Iraq, right now they are training Iraqi troops, that mission will probably expand) and we have air assets in theater. Only now we have lost our credibility with everybody. Staying the course was the right answer. Withdrawing support particularly for political reasons is venal at best.

Consider how the situation would have been different if the Democrats stayed with the plan. At the very least ISIS would have been stomped into the ground when they started to look east.

Brian the booger-eating, bedwetting, Care Bear-hugging little candyassed sugarbritches Rudy-poo little cream puff of a Sparkle Pony, you need to stop smoking your college Professor’s pot and quit blowing him long enough to look at reality. The dumpycrats were howling for us to take military action against Iraq while “Blowjob Willie” was President, voted for it while Bush was POTUS just to ride the political winds and polls dujour and then jumped on the hippie bandwagon as soon as their pollsters told them to! You obviously have squirrels in your attic and bats in your belfry if you think even for a moment that anything you’ve said so far carries water any better than a screen door, where do you get your info, DU, the HuffyPoo, or the Village Voice?
YOU LOSE, o little unfortunately phallic-shaped little hedge of a glitter-farting unicorn-lusting tiny tinsel mouse!!

MrBill

Careful, Jonn. You argued the opposite of the point you were actually making, tongue in cheek. You’re going to confuse Brian; the poor kid will think that’s ambiguous.

Brian

What if I told you, that I actually agree with him?

2/17 Air Cav

Then I would say, “Who gives a shit?”

Mustang1LT

I think Brian is the guy that the Sergeant is pointing at in this picture:

http://i.imgur.com/LYUODn6.jpg

Brian

I’ll bet money he’s pointing at an officer, Sir.

Mustang1LT

Think very carefully, genius. Why would I have the name “Mustang1LT”? Get bent, dipshit.

Ex-PH2

You’re serving? And you came up with that idiotic response?

Well, what are you serving, Bry? Coffee and donuts?

You just let everyone know that you are dumber than a box of rocks.

Mustang1LT

I do so love that picture that I linked to above. I can’t remember which of our beloved Cadre came up with it, but I get so much mileage out of it. It’s kind of like the old Ginsu knives. It slices, it dices, it exposes the ignorance of trolls. Is there anything that meme can’t do?

🙂

Ex-PH2

It can’t get me a date with that sergeant.

Brian

Ah, it was all in fun. You can sling it but ya can’t take it.

The Blue Falcon

Ex-PH2

Wrong, bryanna. We can sling it, and we did. You just don’t like being told you’re wrong about TONS of stuff. And that part about changing the subject of this thread? SO LAME!!!! You aren’t the guy who runs the blog, bozo, but you are a braindead slummer with no point to your silly existence.

AW1Ed

I do so wish you would stop sugar coating there, Ex. Tell us how you really feel.
😉

Ex-PH2

I’ll try harder next time, Ed.

It’s strange how quickly wee bryanna gave up and ran away. I guess it was accurate to say his intellect was less than that of the donuts from the Krispy Kreme shop.

It was easy to recognize the imitation vanilla flavor in his glazed responses, because the real Krispy Kreme glaze has real vanilla in the recipe.

Unfortunately for wee bryanna, the mimic never does as well as the real thing. I found him as pretentious as the cheap imitation flavoring he is.

Oh, hell, I could have made that one short sentence: he’s a wannabe. But it’s fun to wake up to another triumph over deh stupid.

A Proud Infidel®™

Ex-PH2, I don’t think ‘lil Sparkle Pony-hugging Rudy-poo candyass Brianna went away on his(?) own, I bet his Mommy told him NO MORE Internet or XBox until his homework and household chores were done, that’s the price he(?) pays for living in the basement of his(?) Mommy’s basement! 😈
