Monday morning feel good stories
Our first story this morning comes from Alaska;
A 46-year-old Fairbanks man was shot in his left arm after he was found inside an apartment bedroom in the 300 block of First Avenue.
About 4 a.m. the resident reported hearing a knock on an upstairs door, but found nothing. The man then saw a dark figure inside one of the bedrooms and fired a single shot.
The intruder was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Our next story comes from New Jersey;
At approximately 3:15 a.m. Jan. 18, the Lower Township Police responded to the 700 block of Route 109 in the Cold Spring section of Lower Township for a report of a person attempting to gain entry into an occupied residence. As officers were enroute to the location it was learned that the homeowner shot the intruder after he broke through the glass door.
The intruder, James P. Weaver Jr., 21, of the Cold Spring section of Lower Township was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
We need more of these guys to “succumb” to their injuries. Mr. Weaver made a bad choice when he decided to bother one of the few property owners with a gun in New Jersey.

Aaaah! You left out the one about drunk Uncle Joey’s neighborhood noise from yesterday.
http://news.yahoo.com/secret-shots-fired-outside-bidens-delaware-home-164118866–politics.html
No one really saw anything. No bullet casings were found. No one was arrested, except for that guy who was pissed off at being stopped for nothing, but he wasn’t really arrested. It all happened so – so FAST!!! But it is a major news story.
I guess the secret squirrelies don’t know that a car backfiring sounds like a gunshot.
Maybe the mysterious gunmen is the same guy that (allegedly) shot up FirsTech Solutions corporate headquarters. Whatever happened with that incident? I never read in The Washington Post about the home of a congressional aide getting shot at.

Oh, where someone fired a volley of .222 Ruger ammo?
Yeah, that was pretty good, considering .222 is as rare as hen’s teeth and Ruger doesn’t even fucking make ammo.
I wish he had filed a false police report. I wish they all would. More nails in the coffins of the Dutch Rudder Club.
I thought Joe had heard a noise and applied the family shotgun to the problem, but then the article says that he wasn’t home.
I keep coming here, hoping to see the news item from Tigard Oregon about the crazy guy who fired 2 shots from a .45 at the mysterious guy who was finally found rustling the bushes. I expect the report will show that the resident of the home owned by his wife or daughter, was seen with a catheter dangling from his lower unit.
But, I have patience, and will just have to be content reading these other really good stories as they happen.
Dats da way da doos it in Jersey!
Delaware. New Jersey. Close enough.

…In addition to sleeping with fishes.
This place is simply comedy gold.
On a side note, the gray squirrel is pregnant. Haven’t seen the black squirrel lately. Must have gone to visit the folks in Canada.
