Friday morning feel good stories

| December 12, 2014

Hondo sends us our first story this morning from the District of Columbia;

Officers say a 18-year-old Channel Johnson approached a 22-year-old man in the 2400 block of Ainger Place and attempted to rob him with a shotgun. A struggle took place and Johnson was shot with his own gun.

Officers say the 22-year old remained at the scene and was cooperating with police.

Johnson was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

Chief Tango sends another story from Kansas;

Police Lt. Jack Mackey said officers were called at 1:37 a.m. Thursday to the 2000 block of S.W. Lincoln on a report of gunshots in the area.

As they were responding to the scene, a call was received from the occupant of a home at 2015 S.W. Lincoln, who said he had shot two people as they were breaking in to his residence. The man said the individuals he shot then fled the scene.

At 1:45 a.m., police received another call, this one from Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center, indicating two people suffering from gunshot wounds had been dropped off at the emergency department.

Mackey said shortly before 5 a.m. that the condition of those who suffered gunshot wounds was unknown, but that police remained with the individuals at the hospital.

Sorry, Jonn. I apparently mailed you a hoax. Everyone knows that there’s zero gun crime in DC and Chicago due to each having a virtual ban on firearms ownership for the last 30+ years.

(For those needing coffee – or our liberal “brethren” lacking perspective who might be reading this – the above comment from me is intentional satire. S-A-T-I-R-E.)

Zero – Got up at 2:30, had two 16oz. home-brewed Starbucks French roast xtra-bold coffees and since I am FAR from being a liberal – – I got it immediately. 😉

Molan Labe.

Maybe I need more coffee – meant to write Hondo. Apologies.

Old Trooper

Ok, the kid in DC had no shot in life. With a name like Channel, you’re doomed from the get go.

Hack Stone

That Eastern Motors commercial at the beginning of the DC Fox 5 segment lends the report an air of distinction.
