Terror alerts

last convoy out of Iraq

According to the Washington Times, Judicial Watch has uncovered a government bulletin warning about an attempted incursion by jihadists on our southern border;

“High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources have confirmed to Judicial Watch that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued,” the statement read. “Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat.”

High-level sources in the intelligence community told the nonprofit organization that one of the terrorist groups operating out of Ciudad Juarez is the Islamic State…

In another Washington Times story, they report that the UK has elevated it’s terrorism threat level to “severe”. Prime Minister David Cameron told his country;

The [current] terrorist threat was not created by the Iraq War … it existed even before the horrific attacks on 9/11,” he said. “It cannot be solved by addressing poverty, or dictatorships or instability in the region. The root cause is quite clear: a poisonous ideology of Islamic extremism that is condemned by all … [and that will] force people to live in a Medieval state” that includes beheadings, the enslavement of people, the rape of women.

Meanwhile, we read in Stars & Stripes that Defense Secretary Chuck Obvious is traveling to Turkey to try to build a coalition against ISIS/ISIL/Islamic State, you know, about eight months after the ISIS took Fallujah from the Iraq government.

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel will visit Turkey as the U.S. government tries to build a “coalition of the willing” take on Islamic militants in Syria, the Pentagon announced Friday.

“Turkey is a key NATO ally. And given its border with Syria and Iraq, they share our deep concerns with … the regional threat posed by ISIL,” Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby told reporters.

Secretary Obvious cancelled a trip to Turkey the same month that Fallujah fell, by the way;

Had the scheduled meeting happened, Hagel’s visit would have been the highest-level encounter between the two countries since Turkey was shaken by a massive internal political earthquake that also impacted Washington-Ankara relations. Turkey’s decision to purchase a Chinese anti-ballistic missile defense system and the danger posed by al-Qaeda in Syria were expected to dominate Hagel’s meetings with his Turkish interlocutors.

Well, better really, really, really, really late than never, right?

Oh, by the way the Colorado Springs Gazette reports that the Air Force Academy was listed as a target on an al Qaeda website – you know because they’re all about terror and not about doing anything strategic.

The president told the world that we have no strategy yet, I seriously don’t believe him because no one is that stupid. I think he’s trying to trick the Republicans into making a big deal about the line, you know, like they’re making a big deal about his wardrobe when he made the statement. But, see, I’m hoping this big trick on Republicans will actually restore a measure of national security as well as be a political trap. I’m hoping that he really has big grand plan that will result in lots of splodies and splattered terrorists, because like I said, no one is so stupid as to not have a strategy. No one. I’m hoping.

That must have been a hell of a pep rally to inspire this Junior Varsity team to get ready for the big game.

The Other Whitey

Does this surprisingly-accurate statement by Cameron (AKA Lord Obvious) mean the Brits are finally going to clean out the radical incubators that dominate their own moslem population?

Regarding the Glorious Leader and Chuckie Obvious, I wish I could agree with Jonn in his assertion that nobody could be *that* stupid. The Glorious Leader and his minions have repeatedly proven otherwise. His blurting out that they have no strategy…some mornings make me wish I drink coffee, and mornings like these last few just make me wish I drink.

The Other Whitey

Jesus. Holy. Christ.

I have read some appalling shit, but that is right up there. I can’t believe the Brits stood for that shit. What the hell happened to their balls?

Socialism, same as us.

This week’s Texas DPS Law Enforcement Intel bulletin points out that credible intel shows ISIS getting the word out about how porous the Texas border is right now. Ya think?
Thank God Holder and Hagel have announced that there’s no threat to the homeland. We have absolutely zero viable targets here in Slamintonio so I feel safe now…..

There aren’t enough facepalms in the world for what is going on right now. Here I am stuck half a world away and it’s starting to look like the next big front in this war is going to be the homefront. If our Border Patrol is stretched too thin to stop a bunch of teenage gangbangers and single moms, how the FUCK are they supposed to stop a terrorist organization? And only now, after all these years of Syrian unrest, we’re only now trying to get the Turks involved in this? Granted, Erdogan is an Islamist too, but something tells me his vision of recreating the Ottoman Empire and the Caliphate doesn’t include letting the Arabs run it….just sayin’. And somehow, I just don’t think sending Curly out there is really going to help, but I guess it’s better than sending Larry (Kerry) out there. Cue the Three Stooges music.

At least we’re deploying 1000 UNARMED National Guard troops down there (my step-daughter being one of them). That has now made my concern a little more personal.

Ex-PH2

‘no one is that stupid’ – (Heavy sigh).

Yes, Virginia, there are people who ARE that stupid. And I know the ‘no one’ remark was sarcasm. But anyone who wears a beige suit to a presser really IS that stupid.

And there it is.

Let’s just hope we’re smarter than those making decisions and have the wits and wherewithal to protect ourselves from the bad guys.

Maybe Obummer is getting fashion tips now from Naomi Wolf, Al Gore’s favorite fashion consultant.

Wild Bill

In a article in Stars and Stripes, a Border Patrol agent fired at at a armed militia member near the border east of Brownsvilled. No one was injured and the militia member, carring a long gun was on private property.

Man!!! This pisses me off to no end and it’s still early in the morning. So Obama has no strategy. Why? Because he and his loser, no nothings, around him are the absolute most incompetent bunch of self serving tyrants this nation has ever experienced. I am quite frankly surprised that Canada has not overthrown America since the lack of leadership and power vacuum is so great. Someone FINALLY said the wide ass open southern border is ripe for terrorist infiltration. How long have WE been saying this right here on the one blog??? How long has the conservative media been saying the “poor little children” argument is a ruse to do nothing, while helping terrorists? Meanwhile a better leader across the pond who still has his balls intact says this. PM Cameron: “We cannot appease this ideology. We have to confront it at home and abroad … We are in the middle of a generational struggle against a poisonous and extremist ideology that I believe we will be fighting for years and probably decades.” Cameron has the right idea. Now his country through open immigration of these Muslim ass holes, has brought this on themselves in many ways. Nevertheless he is willing to call it what it is and them what they really are. A “poisonous and extremist ideology”. AT HOME and abroad. Obama can’t tell you much of AT HOME except where the best vacation spots and golf courses are. His thoughts in my mind, “Terrorists in America, well we don’t want to be hasty and disenfranchise (I hate that term) the peace loving Muslims in America. (Silently) Besides I am always well protected and safe so we’ll deal with whatever attacks come to our soil after a calming round of golf”. That is Obama’s thinking in the privacy of my heart and mind. Obama is so afraid of loosing support, saving face and a tick in the polls, he still thinks all Muslims in America are peace loving and pro American. NO THEY ALL ARE NOT. When they go to their Mosques and pray to Allah for… Read more »

Oh, sorry for the long rant this early in the day folks.

Cowpill

I was reading where the White house says we are not “At WAR with ISIS” That is strange they seem to be at war with us.

Sparks

Cowpill…As long as Obama keeps up those lies he doesn’t have to make any decisions. He hates making decisions unless they are giving something to someone who doesn’t deserve or didn’t earned it. Serious decisions at home and abroad…scare…him…to….death!!! I never knew of a more cowardly President in U.S. history. Obama is a coward among cowards.

Sparks

P.S. Cowards…get people killed. Their inaction and indecisiveness causes more deaths than anything when expressed from a level of power such as Obama holds.

Mustang1LT

Sparks,
You hit the nail right on the head there. It doesn’t even require someone to be that high up on the food chain either. I remember during BOLC one of my fellow LTs acting as PL for the exercise couldn’t decide what to do when our convoy came up to a roundabout with multiple culverts. Of course, in the scenario, we had no interrogation assets such as robots or dogs to check the culverts, so she couldn’t figure out what to do. After a few minutes of dithering, the OPFOR lit us up. After the AAR, I pulled her aside and explained to her that she should have deployed troops to check the culverts. She said that she didn’t want to risk the lives of her soldiers. I told her, risk one or risk them all because leaving vehicles on a known intersection, which is probably targeted by a mortar is a BAD idea. In other words, DO SOMETHING, even if it’s wrong, do something. You can adjust the plan later because your plan goes out the window anyway once the bullets start flying. It’s tough when it’s a brand new 2LT who is still learning the ropes, however (and you are correct here), it is FAR worse when your CINC has no clue and can’t make a decision.

Ex-PH2

Well, Mustang, you could tell her that if she doesn’t know who to send where, or what to do, she can GO DO IT HERSELF.

That way, she isn’t risking the troops’ lives, is she now?

Thunderstixx

So many spot on rants here I dare not say which one is the best. They are all good, they show that at least someone in this country is still awake at the brake. Even though most of us are now civilians I firmly believe that we are more than ready for the fight.
I am now in Houston Texas and see the fight against the illegal surge firsthand. It just ain’t pretty here friends…
I have felt that there is something coming and that we are going to get hit. I would imagine that it will be soon or at least just ahead of the upcoming elections so IS can frame ovomit’s ineptitude and put it on display.
Although many in the world think that America is now a joke and over, the real money is on the citizens of this country. Those that fought and died beside us in all the wars that we have fought understand the backbone of America is not what ovomit is doing. They are laughing at him, but not the rest of us…

Sparks

Thunderstixx…You sir, hit the nail on the head. There may come a time when citizens, led by veterans will have to defend our home soil. I pray not but I see the signs growing stronger each day.

Ex-PH2

That’s what I said. It’s us who will hold the fort and NOT the gubbmint.

Sparks

Ex-PH2…So true. “Red Dawn” use to be just a movie. Now it’s a possibility.

Ex-PH2

A – Bodaprez does not have a clue about how to do anything, or what to do.

B – We are essentially on our own in this, unless I misread how things are.

C – The days of being PC about things are beginning to fade, and will come to an abrupt halt with the first nasty-ass attack on US citizens.

D – Do NOT assume that all Americans are disdainful of being American or unwilling to fight for their freedom and sovereignty. They aren’t.

E – Sparks, don’t pop a blood vessel over bodaprez. He ain’t woith it, kid.

NHSparky

Why is it these jackholes are allowing (yes, ALLOWING) another potential 9/11 (or worse) and doing fuck-all to stop it?

Ex-PH2

Why?

A – Because they’re stupid.

B – Because Lurch is on it and they’re stupid, too.

C – Because they’re stupid.

D – Because they don’t live in the real world like we do, and they’re stupid, too.

E – Because they’re stupid.

Take your pick.

NHSparky

Granted, stupidity should be painful, but it’s not them who feels the pain.

It’s us.

Ex-PH2

NHSparky, it may be painful to see, but the backlash for them will be far worse than anything we are going through now.
