The picture above is from an article a few years back about a Fort Lee mass casualty exercise.
There is very sparse news coming from Fort Lee, Virginia in regards to an “active shooter”;
Active shooter incident reported at CASCOM HQ, Bldg. 5020. All personnel enact active shooter protocols immediately. Post on lockdown.

CASCOM, of course means the Combined Arms Support Center Command.
ADDED: “All clear” has been given.
ADDED at 10:30 AM; Some of our LEO friends are reporting that a female E-7 shot herself at Fort Lee. We’ll see, I suppose.

Can’t be true. Weapons aren’t permitted on Post.
I’ll bet their new mass warning and emergency notification system malfunctioned. You can’t clear an active shooter notification in 20 minutes.
God bless all there and I hope no one was injured.
There’s an update, in case you missed it.
NORTHCOM says that a female enlisted, E-7 has shot and killed herself in the vicinity of the CASCOM HQ.
Maybe not that dead yet…from Stolen Valor and Fox News…
“Fort Lee first responders responded to a report of a female soldier with a gun inside the Combined Arms Support Command Headquarters, Bldg. 5020 at approximately 9 a.m. .
Early reports indicate the soldier turned the weapon on herself and fired one shot, injuring herself. Her condition is not known at this time.
Special Agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command are on scene and investigating the incident. Fort Lee officials take this incident very seriously and are fully cooperating with the investigation.”
VCUMedical Center confirmed that one patient has arrived from Fort Lee.
Maybe this is a little premature.
Sad.
I’m sorry to say it, but after Hassan, we have seen that troops in America are just as vulnerable to the no-weapons clause as the ones in Iraq and Ashcanistan.
The SFC whos name i will not mention died
