Background check fail

| July 23, 2014

AW1Ed sends us a link to Newser and their story about 18-year-old Elijah Williams who sold a gun to 24-year-old Tyrone Moore who was out on the street as a parolee. Young Elijah has since regretted the ownership transfer of his firearm to Tyrone.

Investigators believe that Williams and another 18-year-old, Moore’s cousin Hailes Cole, were arguing about a gun stolen in a burglary when Williams pulled a gun and shot and injured Cole before being fatally shot by Moore. Moore has been charged with misconduct involving weapons, and police say more charges are pending…

I blame Congress for this. If they had passed legislation last year for more stringent background checks, this could have been prevented, because we all know that Elijah would have forced Tyrone to go to a gun dealer and put the transfer through the NCICS system, but since there was no law, Elijah didn’t know about Tyron’s background as a criminal.

That was sarcasm, if you didn’t realize it.

I don’t see any “FAIL” here at all…..
I see Win, Win, WIN!!

Cole = Busted a cap in his ass, in the hospital
Moore = In the old pokey once again
Williams = Dirt Bath.

Win win WIN!!!

I think they should pass new legislation … something like this.

Any person who is not allowed to purchase or own a firearm must identify their self as such to any potential seller.

I’m sure that will work … new legislation always works.

Also sarcasm 😉

You just can’t fix stupid and you can’t change the criminal mind the majority of the time. It is the rare one who changes and truly turns their life around.

Pinto Nag

If we can’t fix stupid, we need to start vaccinating against it, because it seems to be running rampant anymore.

It must be Bush’s fault somehow.

I’m confident that Elijah was simply unaware of the labyrinth of regulations involving firearms sales and his innocent ignorance of the law apparently cost him his life. We MUST institute mandatory insertion of curriculum in our Middle Schools Immediately regarding “Lawful Weapons Transfer 101”, “Dealing with BATFE and NICS”, and “Basic Survival After Stupid Life Decisions” as I’m confident Elijah would not have been exposed to this important instruction in the high school he dropped out of nor the university or trade school to which he never would have applied. Another example of the failure in public education – his loving parents, I’m sure, were not to blame in any way. We must do this for the children. Common Core just isn’t enough!

Once I saw the name Tyrone, I knew where this was going.

I think all criminals should own a gun and that they are required to attend a nightly shoot out at an abandoned school yard in their shitty neighborHOOD.

Soon the problem will take care of itself.

Oh, you mean like Chicago? 🙂
