Rockets strike Israel from Lebanon
The Washington Times reports that in addition to rockets from Gaza, the Israelis are catching rockets from Hezbollah in Lebanon.
A military spokesman from Lebanon said three rockets were fired at Israel in the early morning hours and landed in a northern section of the nation, Fox News reported. Israel, in turn, fired about 25 artillery shells back at Lebanon.
Troops with Lebanon’s government then joined with peacekeepers from the United Nations to search the area for signs of who — or which group — launched the attack, Fox News said.
Israeli military spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner said his nation had been half expecting militants from Lebanon to join in the Hamas attack, but that analysts weren’t yet clear if the attack was “symbolic or something more substantial,” Fox News reported.
Anyone surprised? I mean, Iran has been arming the war in Syria, the US is arming what they want us to believe are folks we can support. The Russians are arming folks in the region, and so are the Saudis and the Gulf States. They have more guns than food in the region.
Awash in our own crises, the President offers to help Israel establish cease fire parameters, well, after he takes a 15-day vacation at Martha’s Vineyard.

AFTER a 15-day vacation?
Are you f$!#$@king kidding me?
Can you make sure we get all those vacay selfies here?
That noise you hear is my head exploding. I’ll get the broom… and the chocolate chips and cheesecake and choco mint ice cream.
Aren’t ye a wee bit auld to be a’believin’ in Leprechauns, lass? Or t’be surprised by any tone-deaf damnfoolishness from this Administration?
Not true, Hondo. Leprechauns are older than I am.
But if I were the veep, I’d be on the phone while that asshole is sunning his bony ass, calling Angela (apologizing profusely for the spying and offering a nice dinner in Chicago) and Vlad (sunning himself down in Havana), and I’d be making some serious efforts to coordinate plans with those two. And yes, I’d have Netanyahu on Skype, too, and a few other people, and screw the UN.
At least Nero was within sight of Rome while it burned.
Zero is on the Vineyard, fucking up the businesses that depend on tourist season.
If Obama is anything…he’s predictable. World crisis on my left, meh. Domestic crisis at every turn, so what…I’m going on vacation. All this national type, military, political, geowhatever stuff can wait until I get back.
Thanks, Obama. We can always count in you, to do what’s in your own best self interest. And that of your wife Michelle, who by the way, likes Martha’s Vineyard, because she can eat an apple threw a picket fence anyway with those GIGANTIC teeth of hers, (they give me nightmares) she loves strolling and sampling the fruit on the trees. I use to say pound it up your ass Obama. Now I say pound it up Michelle’s. Mr. Michelle, gets a lot more grief that way.
Well, if he isn’t doing that, he’s cutting into hour-long lines at Austin BBQ joints.
“Troops with Lebanon’s government then joined with peacekeepers from the United Nations to search the area for signs of who — or which group — launched the attack”
U.N peacekeepers couldn’t find their own ass with both hands, a map and a compass. By the way, which group did this? It was not the the Girl Scouts. Did you ever think adults could be this stupid?
Map and compass? Hell, I don’t think the UN Peacekeepers in Lebanon could find their own ass with a GPS, two mirrors, and written instructions.
I believe it won’t be long before Israel comes down very hard on the Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Palestinians. They have thus far showed restraint. They have struck where they were struck from. But given enough time and enough dead Israelis and they will hit back in a big way. I do not blame them and support them defending themselves 100%. They are a small nation completely surrounded by Muslims who want them wiped off the face of the earth and make no bones about it, verbally and in their actions. It is my hope that if Israel needs help, America will be there. For many reasons. As much foreign aid as we give, as much as we spend in money and potential lives in Somalia, Iraq and elsewhere, surely we can continue to support them. It is a matter of if we will, led by Obama. Kerry says we earmarked $5 Billion to “push back radical extremists”. You would think they would consider the nations around Israel “radical extremists”, and act accordingly. Just my opinion.
We need to re-think what we’re doing. Aid and money have been ending up bankrolling the terrorists, no matter who we give it to. It’s time to look at other, conventional and non-conventional, possibly-very-unpleasant-but-very-effective, options.
So, Israel offers a ceasefire and Hamas says no thanks. Makes sense to me. Every Palestinian death is a PR victory for Hamas so the more dead the better. And speaking of violence and Obama’s brilliant Arab Spring and Red Lines, the UN announced yesterday that they are getting the hell out of Libya after the airport was shelled and shelled well, thank you. And in Afghanistan, the vacation capital of the world, a huge car bomb killed dozens and dozens of civilians in a market this morning. I understand that The Emperor was briefed and commented, “Looks like I’ll need the two iron.”
I don’t think any of it actually means anything to him, 2/17AirCav.
