Friday morning feel good story

| May 23, 2014

Amy sends us our first feel good story, this time from Houston;

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 12600 block of Kuykendahl shortly before midnight.

They said a man walking through the parking lot of an apartment complex was jumped by an armed robber.

The alleged robber took the victim’s wallet, cash, cell phone, and more. The victim then pulled out a gun and starting shooting at the suspect, hitting him twice.

The suspect fled and later turned up at a nearby hospital, deputies said.

Chief Tango sends us another story from North Carolina;

Authorities got the call Tuesday morning around 8:40 a.m. from Sam Hall Road. They say the unidentified homeowner heard a noise from his back window.

“And he heard the noise cutting the screen on the window. He got up and got his gun,” said Sheriff Brindell Wilkins.

The homeowner spotted Rodney Hanks, 20, wearing a hood and holding a gun and a knife. Hanks was shot once in the face. Three other suspects were with Hanks but ran away.

Police say that they know Hanks, but not in the good way.

And Mark Cuban is catching hell for saying he worries about black kids in hoodies…
Noting for the record that temps around here have been around 65 at night, so sweatshirts are fashion statements. That is not an area to walk late at night.
