Monday morning feel good story

| May 19, 2014

Chief Tango sends us our feel good story to kick off our work week, this time from Muncie, Indiana;

[Anthony J. Williams, 47] entered the 15th & Hoyt Liquor Store, 2204 S. Hoyt Ave., about 11:15 p.m., pretended to have a weapon and demanded cash from the clerk [a woman], city police Lt. Steve Cox said.

The clerk believed Williams was preparing to grab a handgun that was behind the store’s counter, and picked up the weapon.

A struggle then ensued between the clerk and Williams, ending when the gun discharged, seriously wounding the would-be bandit, Cox said.

According to the article, Williams has convictions in his past for robbery, drug dealing and resisting arrest. His last release from being a guest of the taxpayers was in 2005, so you see, he had turned his life around…well, until he didn’t.
