Another Army deserter nabbed in traffic stop
Yet another Army deserter, Elmer Hoffman, learned that when you’re hiding from your commitment to the military, you should obey traffic laws, according to Medford, Oregon’s KDRV;
According to Oregon State Police, 46-year-old Elmer Frederick Hoffman III was pulled over by a trooper for failure to display a front vehicle plate. After first providing a name and birth date that police could not verify, Hoffman then acknowledged he was a deserter wanted by the U.S. Army and was using a stolen Colorado license plate.
OSP says he fled Missouri back in March, as he was facing a court martial trial related to child rape and child indecency charges. Oregon State Police say Hoffman fled while on trial, and during his absence, he was convicted on two counts of Child Rape and two counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child.
I think that Timothy McVeigh was pulled over for not having any plates on his car after the Oklahoma bombing, so it’s like they all really want to get caught. I doubt Elmer, here, will survive pre-trial confinement, though, given those charges.

From everything I’ve read, since he was convicted in absentia, he better hope he gets sent to USDB at Leavenworth. Child molesters are very common there apparently, so they don’t encounter the same treatment and hatred (rightly deserved btw) that they would at civilian federal penitentiaries.
I hope Bubba & Thor get their way with that subhuman POS before he/it goes to the USDB, MAY HE ROT IN HELL!!
If I remember correctly, the coward McVeigh was pulled over by an Oklahoma Highway Patrolman who arrested him when he noticed that McVeigh was carrying a pistol in a shoulder holster under his t shirt, and he was held in jail after the APB went out on him. Scumbags will be scumbags, and most of them will be stupid while they do!
Sheesh, WTF kind of moron drives in a car with no license plates with a loaded pistol in his shirt when you’re a wanted man? Couldn’t he just unload it and stick it in the glove compartment of a rental car at least until he drove across state lines? Dumbass.

I was content to roll my eyes and think “Yet another deserting scum bag.” And then I read the charges he was convicted for. I hope that he’s “shot while trying to escape” even if it would be tough to explain how he ran in leg irons and handcuffs.
That reminds me of an urban legend story about an escaping convict that was shot twenty times, and his cause of death was explained by a Deputy as “The worst case of suicide I’ve ever seen!” regardless if he was trying to run while wearing cuffs and leg irons!
Since it’s Mother’s Day, I say you make a few women very happy and save some taxpayer’s money at the same time. Give him either to the Mother/s of the kids he harmed or to a group of Mothers that never got their babies back. Oh, no worry about them killing him. That’s not how us Mothers roll.
