Sunday morning feel good story

| April 27, 2014

Chief Tango sends us our feel good story this morning, this time from Michigan;

According to the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department, the victim, 39, and the homeowner who is in his 30?s had previous issues weeks before the shooting.

Police said the victim and the homeowner got into some kind of altercation. The victim tried to force his way into the home and the homeowner then shot the man multiple times, killing him. The victim died on scene.

Authorities say the homeowner’s wife and two small children were at the home at the time of the fatal shooting.

True dat. I prefer the word “corpse.”

Meatcicle!

Kinda old ET1

Yep, victim is the wrong word. He could have prevented himself from assuming room temperature, by not being stupid.

Sparks

Kinda Old ET1 +1 Buddy. You can’t stop or fix stupid.

Cortillaen

I beg to differ, Sparks, and so does the homeowner. You may not be able to fix stupid, but a few applications of high-velocity lead does wonders to stop it. 😉

OWB

Victim of what? Rational response by others?

This use of the word “victim” to describe every kind of self-induced trauma is ridiculous. And tiresome. (Among other things.)

Old Trooper

Don’t wanna get ventilated? Don’t try to break into someone’s house.

I suppose the word “victim” fits in this story. He was a victim of stupidity.

Richard

I suppose that it is semantics but just because he is dead does not mean that he is “the victim” or even “a victim”. I might have used the term “attacker” or “intruder” or “jackass”. He attacked the owner and broke into someone’s house. Victim? Not so much.

Oldav8r

Oh good, if self imposed stupidity counts, then I am a victim of six shots to my center of mass last night! (Oh, the shots were tequila)

B Woodman

Along with agreeing with all the above statements about self-imposed stupidity on the part of the “victim”, all I want to add is, enough caliber was brought, and no additional range time needed.
Well done, homeowner, well done.
