Juvenile arrested, 19-year-old shot and arrested for grand theft auto attempt this morning at Lynnewood Gardens apartments, Cheltenham police seeking witnesses

The Cheltenham Township Police Department announced that officers on patrol near the Lynnewood Gardens apartment complex heard gunshots on Thursday, December 19 around 4:57am.

Police subsequently received multiple 9-1-1 calls for reports of shots fired in the 2100 block of Mather Way, also in the Lynnewood Gardens complex. Arriving officers determined that a resident of the complex had fired multiple shots at two individuals who were attempting to steal their car.

One of the suspects, a juvenile, was apprehended following a foot chase and found to be in possession of a stolen handgun which was illegally modified to fire fully automatic. The juvenile also had multiple warrants out of Philadelphia for drugs and weapons offenses and was found to have removed their court-ordered ankle monitor.

They were charged in relation to the attempted theft as well as weapons charges and were detained at the Montgomery County Youth Center, police said.

The second suspect, a 19-year-old, was found hiding a short distance away and had sustained gunshot wounds to both legs.

Summerville Police arrest man shot by homeowner during break-in attempt

By P.J. Williams
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) – A Moncks Corner man has been charged with burglary after attempting to enter an occupied residence.

Richard Dezmond Maybank, 28, is charged with two counts of attempted burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Cpt. Ken Driscoll said the Summerville Police Department responded to a report of a male suspect attempting to gain entrance into an occupied home on Southport Drive just before 9 a.m.

The homeowner and her child escaped and went to a neighbor’s house for safety.

Maybank then went to the neighbor’s house where he began to attempt to forcibly gain entry to the house.

Maybank, who was holding a burglary tool, was confronted by the homeowner, who was holding a handgun.

The homeowner shot the suspect as he believed he was in fear for himself and the neighbor’s safety.

The suspect fled on foot where he was arrested by the police on Delafield Drive minutes later.

Thanks again, Gun Bunny.

When you disarm your subjects, you offend them by showing that either from cowardliness or lack of faith, you distrust them; and either conclusion will induce them to hate you.

Bringing a “burglary tool” to a gunfight.
(no mention of what the “burglary tool” is. a lock pick? a pry bar? an e tool? )
That deserves its own page in the 3″ three ring (etc) book of T2NB2AGF.
Congratulations Mr Maybank, you have just achieved TAH immortality. And you’re still alive to read about it.

It was a very sturdy credit card!!

The “juvie” will be back at choir practice by the time Sunday morning Services are starting. Because we just know that he is a gud boi, having found Jesus, and was turning his life around. Only reason he and his misguided mentor were looking for a car is that they needed a ride to choir practice.

Thought you’d like the “burglary tool” to a gunfight. Having your very own page in the T2NB2AGF is a high honor, indeed!

The only reason despots want to disarm their “subjects” is they are planning on doing things that would cause the “subjects” to want to shoot them. Be a Citizen…not a “subject”.

Old slo joe, the grifter musta wrote the contract to sell those surplus revolvers for those prices. joe was offered overall command of the union forces but turned it down because he couldn’t bring the baby sitter with him to the field.

Items like a long flat head screwdriver or pry bar and channel lock pliers. The pliers to force a door knob to turn breaking the internal lock. Pry bar for obvious reasons. Normally only an issue when found wandering a neighborhood late at night in an area that has had recent burglaries, car theft or car entries.
