Tuesday Morning Feel Good Story
Chief Tango sends us our feel good story this morning, this time from Texas where 41-year-old Robert Trevino was shopping for jewelry without a methods of payment except opportunity and motive;
fficers found a man’s body inside the jewelry store. They say he had been shot at least once. Police identified him as 41-year-old Robert Trevino.
Police say the jewelry store owner had been in a back room of the store when Trevino broke into the store and attempted to break into a jewelry case. The owner then fired several shots, hitting and killing Trevino.
Police say the owner then fired shots at several other people in the parking lot of the store, wounding at least two others. Officers say the people in the parking lot were Trevino’s accomplices. Police arrested two people and say others fled the scene. The two people arrested were treated for minor injuries.
The police report that Trevino has pretty lengthy record of crimes and now his unsuccessful career has, sadly, come to an end.

Glad the store owner’s okay.
And another grteat happy ending to a great Texas store owner !!!
One would think that the bad guys would figger out that they can’t get away with this as easily as before…
But, most criminals are as dumb as a box of busted Chinese metric sockets !!!
Don’t mess with Texas.
So, I’m guessing Robert won’t be going to Jared’s either.
wow… Elgin a a nice small town about 30 miles outside of Austin – has a couple of excellent BBQ joints. NOT the kind of place you would expect a jewelry store break-in. Although small-town Texas is definitely the kind of place where people regard safeguarding their property seriously.
I wonder of he was related to Lee Trevino? Just a thought.
