Matthew Ott fund

I’m terrible at raising money and asking for money, so I’ll make this short and sweet. Some folks in the Nate Fornwalt discussion wanted to take up money for Nate’s victim, Matthew Ott, the thirteen-year-old who gave the phony a couple of thousand bucks. While it’s not our responsibility to replace the money, I guess it would make Matthew think better of veterans. Anyway, a couple of folks have already donated some and I’m going to toss in the money that you’ve sent in the last week or so.

I just got off the phone with Matthew and John and they already know who they want to send to money to, so when I get your money, I’ll be writing the check to the beneficiary, not Matthew or John. They’re thinking that the beneficiary of the money will be a deserving vet in their area (who they’ve already vetted) and the local Gold Star mothers.

I’ll probably leave this donation thing up until after the first of the month. All you have to do to donate is click on the Paypal button and send it that way.
