McCainiacs fire bomb Obama sign

| October 12, 2008

Oh, wait, that’s not what happened (h/t JammieWearingFool);

Authorities have arrested two men after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a 4-foot by 8-foot campaign sign for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in a southeast Portland yard.

Karen Scrutton said she was asleep inside her home at 7956 S.E. 17th Ave. in the Sellwood neighborhood when she saw her sign go up in flames after 1 a.m.

“I screamed upstairs to my husband, ‘Jean! Jean!” she said.

A neighbor heard a crash and chased off one of the suspects. Jean Scrutton said his son-in-law found another suspect not far away.

Not long after, investigators picked up Leslie Brockette Leudtke and Kevin Carl Robinson, both 23. After interviewing them, the pair was charged with four counts each of manufacturing and possession of a destructive device. In addition, Leudtke was charged with a single count of reckless burning.

Witnesses said the suspects threw a Molotov cocktail at the sign and used another as a torch.

The Left sure enough knows how to rile up the Conservatives…those thugs just drove a few more McCain voters to the polls.

I have decided to post a McCain/Palin sign in my yard with a sign under it that says “WARNING: This sign protected by the 1st AND 2nd amendment.”

GI JANE

Hope, Change, and Vandalism

I have a McCain/Palin sign in my yard and McCain/Palin bumperstickers on my car. It would not surprise me if this happened at my home, since I reside in a northeast Ohio democratic stronghold.

You stay classy, Obamabots.

BTW Ray, I love your sign!

Thanks Jane. It has (so far) remained unmolested 🙂 I have a simple rule in life. I don’t disrespect your stuff, don’t disrespect mine. I would not tolerate seeing someone going around and tearing up Obama signs either. Crap like that is just petty and idiotic and sometimes, even dangerous. Jonn is absoultly right when he says that kind of stuff just angers regular Americans and makes more people want to vote McCain/Palin.

BTW back atcha. I’d like to return the compliment and say that I enjoyed reading your response to Jonn’s post on Troopergate too.
