Friday Feel Good Stories

| October 25, 2013

Chief Tango sends our feel good stories today – a twofer. The first is from Arizona when two men who had hung with the homeowners in the past forced their way in the house;

The suspects were armed with guns and assaulted the victims while demanding items from the home, according to Jacinto.

At some point, the male victim grabbed a gun from one of the suspects and reportedly shot him in the leg. The two suspects then left the home and drove away with a 26-year-old woman, Jacinto said.

The three were later found by Phoenix police after they called 911 to report the 23-year-old suspect’s gunshot wound.

The second story comes from Ohio when a burglar was shot while trying to rob a family;

The burglar is now enrolled in his local vocational school held at the county jail, well, after he gets out of the hospital.

Here’s a bonus story from War On Terror News, it’s a few months old, it’s still a good story. It happened in South Bend, IN when a burglar struck twice in 12 hours, but the second time was one too many. The second time the husband was home and began to struggle with the burglar, while his wife grabbed a kitchen knife and turned the burglar’s life around for him;

I’ve been kinda out of it, due to an alien parasite from a distant galaxy, that invaded my body, but I had a thought hit me like a bullet (no pun intended) about all these feel good stories that we read. There have been a lot of them and the one thing I noticed is that the police are always there to write the reports and speak to the media. Where are they before the bad guys strike? According to some supposed “experts”, we need to leave this kind of thing up to the police to handle and we don’t need guns (unless they’re double barrel 26mm) and we’ll all be safer. Really?

If the person is such a bed wetter that they get the vapors from just seeing a gun, then they have bigger issues than just guns. That doesn’t give them the right to tell me I can’t have them just because they’re a candy ass.

What Old Trooper said.

And I have a personal fondness for stories like the one about the elderly man in a wheelchair who smacked a thief with a cast iron skillet who got into his house to rob him.

I’m seeing far too many stories about cops shooting kids with toy guns that look like the real thing. The polease are giving us (me) a bad impression of themselves. Unfortunately, a lot of these things happen BECAUSE the police are known to not be around or not close enough to do anything other than fill out forms and reports.
