Sunday Feel Good Story
UpNorth & Chief Tango sent us a link to today’s feel good story from Houston about a teen who is the son of a local policeman, was home alone and heard the sounds of someone trying to turn their lives around;
Patmon’s 18-year-old son was home alone when he heard a noise. There were two men pounding on the front door, but he didn’t answer. They then went around to the back of the house.
Patmon said his son called him when the trouble started
“He called me and told me about it,” the homeowner said. “Not long after that, two unknown suspects entered our home without permission.”
The men allegedly forced their way inside, meeting the teen head-on.
“My son, trying to defend his home and himself, he discharged my firearm, striking one of the suspects,” Patmon said.
The shot suspect died inside the home. The second suspect fled the scene.
“This is our home, and he’s my son,” Patmon said. “If I’m not there to protect him, we try to teach our children to do what’s right, and I just thank God that he’s OK.”
“It’s unfortunate that a life was taken, but at the same time, it’s very fortunate that this guy had a way to defend himself,” Warren said.

More Son’s of Obama fail again.
A modern day coming of age story. You can hear the anguish and pride in the father’s words. It is too bad the young man was forced to shoot but good on him for doing so.
And of course the inconvenience of the clean up does not help mattters!
Glad to see some kids are still raised right.
Another youth turning his life around in Houston. The crew from the Lone Star State has been carrying the load by themselves for far too long. The rest of the country needs to get on board.
that life was forfeited when they broke into someone else’s home. Good going, son
Can we get the kid an Expert shooting badge?
Another one down…

Another on bites the dust …
I wonder if this was another Katrina transplant to Houston just trying to make enough dough to get back to N’awlins.
What’s the ammo situation in Houston? Starting to look like they might need a resupply.
Remember-center mass and double tap. Repeat as needed.
The worst thing about it is that the ass-hats put that young man in a position where he now has to live the rest of his life knowing he took another life, even if it was justifiable.
No additional range time needed for this young man. He has both the heart and brains to do what needed to be done. But that’s a very difficult thing to ask a young man to have to do, to kill in self defense. I hope he gets, if not actual counseling, at least lots of love and support from friends, family, and neighbors.
I would say that life was forfeited when Mommy and Daddy didnt teach teh dumbass (Or deadass…) perp right from wrong. Sad that a life was taken, glad that it was a bad guys…
Target, cease fire!
