More Saturday feel good stories

| August 10, 2013

I guess the warm weather is facilitating more people trying to turn their lives around. Chief Tango sends us two more today. The first is from an Indian Reservation in Wisconsin;

The victim, 26-year-old James Hamilton of Stone Lake, was shot in the head and abdomen. Butler shot Hamilton after he entered his apartment and battered him, according to a department press release. A third man, 25-year-old Kevin Crone, also entered Butler’s residence with Hamilton and was involved in the fight.

Butler was transported to an area hospital after the incident and then transported to the Sawyer County Jail. Butler has since been released.

I guess Hamilton’s accomplices in the life-changing antics have also been arrested.

The second story comes from Raleigh;

Police said a resident of the apartment complex was in his unit when he was confronted by an armed intruder. The resident, who also was armed, discharged a handgun at the intruder.

The intruder was pronounced at the scene.

I’m guessing they meant “pronounced dead” because that’s usually the outcome when someone “discharged a handgun at” you.

Warm beautiful Saturday in many ways!

So….why is Hamilton the victim again? I must have missed something here.

There’s that word “alleged” again. When a guy is found ventilated in a place where he was uninvited, how is he an “alleged intruder”?

Hamilton is alleged to be a victim of his own stupidity because as we all know, there are no laws against being stupid.

I like the reporting of the second story better than the first. In the second story the bad guy is called an intruder in the first he’s called a victim. That is what’s wrong (one of the things) nowadays. The PC bullshit is going to far!

Mike

Well the guy who got shot was prob a duke fan and the shooter an nc state fan. Heyoooooooo!

One in the 10 ring and one in the 8 ring = Dead right there. The word Alleged, meaning “one of whom allegations against have or are made” does not apply in this case. The fact that he was armed, in a house not his own, proves his criminal intent. Victim might be used only if they are referring to his life choices. Choices that allowed a citizen to use deadly force against him. Choices have consequences.
