Harlem Shake goes wrong
From the folks at U.S. Army WTF moments comes this GREAT video of one soldier trying to do a Harlem shake video until it all goes horribly wrong.
Good to know SOMEONE in the Army still has standards.

I checked the comments and agreed with one big glaring problem that got noticed: Room with a safe, drawers opened and you let a video camera in there?
He’s lucky that pushups was his only punishment.
The postal service bin..used to prop up the sign is classic.
Last week I rounded up at least a dozen of them in my office all being used for various task …non of which involved mail
And so I go home, having made the world right for the US postal service, and as I open my garage door…there is one sitting on a shelf in my garage…with shit in it from my last office move.
I think this is staged…in this PC world of military life, you can’t give a soldier/Marine push-ups for punishment anymore…someone would be crying hazing…
#3 TTM…yeah, we got the letter on that last week.
The old soldiers i work with were less than impressed.
Common reaction: “well, I guess the war is really over.”
VI: I have been in the Corps for 13 years, it has changed a LOT since I was a young PFC.
Can’t say that I am impressed with the youngin’s that come in today, but they are the future of the Corps…and since I don’t make the rules, I can only play by them, I have to mold them to be the best they can be, within the box that Mother’s of America have given me.
While I never thought beating a Marine was acceptable, I always thought that a few burpees, some pushups, and a few mountain climbers were the way to get my point across.
TTM#5: i found a few times that counselings done with both the counselee and me in the front lean and rest tended to be effective.
And short.
We still smoke idiots out here where I am. Although I have already gotten twenty messages asking if I staged that video or if it was me.
I really really wish youtube wasn’t blocked lol.
Ok, a guy with internet (Thank you BOEING LAR) let me watch it on his cellphone.
This guy is an ALSE guy for sure. Looks like an old AMSS box on the upper left cabinet, and we use the same lockers to store the flares that we used to give out. I say used because pin flares are Jungle Penetration Flares and there are no jungle canopies we have to shoot them through. Plus shoot a flare out here and the rescue bird might think it’s enemy fire.
Go aviation!
VI #6, I’m not saying, nor was I ever saying, that a smoke session didn’t correct a deficiency…I’m all about those.

I’m willing to bet that your higher ups thought the same thing about you when you were a PFC. -;-)
I’m sufficiently impressed that the young’uns are still enlisting and serving even in wartime. And even thou 50 was several years ago, I still stand up when I see someone with an Armed Forces uniform com into the room or seating area.
I must be getting old, because I just don’t get the Harlem Shake. To me it looks like a bunch of epileptics going into seizures.
Might be a generational thing, but I am not getting anything “great” about this vid. But, if y’all do, enjoy it and I will just enjoy your amusement.
(If you want strawberry ice cream with that instead of chocolate, that is also OK!)
@#11 I respect them…but as an instructor at the School of Infantry, I had more than one that told me that it wasn’t anything like the Call of Duty video game…and they joined thinking it was going to be like it.
@#10 My seniors didn’t like me because I was prior service (5 years Army National Guard)…but yeah, I bet they weren’t impressed with me either.
