Because you can’t feel too good on Friday
Paul sends us some more good news about a woman in Kansas who noticed a car backing into her driveway yesterday afternoon and then saw a man with Latex gloves at her backdoor preparing to kick the door in. So she fired her gun through the door;
… at least one of the men fired back into her house. The woman was not hurt.
The men then drove away.
Three minutes later, police received a 911 call from a cellphone. The caller said, “My brother’s been shot,” but didn’t provide a location.
About 12:20 p.m., a man shot in the chest showed up at Research Medical Center with two other men. Police arrested the three and questioned them about the attempted burglary and shooting.
Along the same lines, UpNorth sends us the news from Fresno, that armed robbers in California can’t depend on people to be unarmed in their homes in the great socialist republic of California;
The suspects, 34-year-old Aaron Baeza and 30-year-old Christopher Rupe, tied up the homeowner and his girlfriend and demanded money. They later freed the man to allow him to look for the cash.
The homeowner then stabbed and killed Baeza with his samurai sword.
Rupe escaped, remains at large, and is considered armed and dangerous. Investigators say he may be traveling with an unidentified Caucasian woman in a dark green Ford F-150 pickup, with a California license plate of 6T04402.
Stu sends more good news from Arkansas;
The Russellville Police Department (RPD) says just after four o’clock officers were called to the 1300 block of North Cleveland about a shooting.
Police say the suspect was armed when he went into the home and was met by the homeowner who was also armed to defend his property.
The injured suspect was first taken to Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center before being airlifted to a hospital in Little Rock.
The update to the story says that the poor misguided youth has passed on as a result of his wounds and Russellville is marginally safer tonight.

Don’t you know…you *NEVER* bring a samurai sword to a gunfight….wait…..WUT?!?!?!?

In addition to more contemporary methods of defense, one of my favorite ancient weapons is Danish war axe, I can drive it clean through two sheets of 3/4″ plywood and it sits above my dresser….but Samurai home defense systems is apparently a really nice option.
The end of the week is just getting nicer by the minute!
When the right people get shot or sworded (sic) to death…it just doesn’t get any better.
The California Story is making me feel all Pulp Fictiony.
The State of Kansas, I am proud to say, has Castle Laws, yet people continue to break into homes. Criminals never seem to learn.
We had a homeowner here remove one burglar from stock day before yesterday, but I couldn’t get the link sent in so it could be included in the feel good stories.
Silly burglar, everyone knows Montanans believe in guns.
You don’t see these stories in the MSM, however. I wonder why? (Rhetorical question, of course.)
You can find them on this sub-site on Reddit.com.

“Criminals never seem to learn.”
Of course. That’s why they’re criminals. They’re too dumb to learn a useful occupation, even if it’s just “would you like fries with that order?”
Stupidity running rampant in the gene pool. Time to clean out the gene pool. (A few have already started).
An ode for perps everywhere:
Too bad, so sad
Sucks to be you
As it should be
Above, times three
🙂
AAWWWW…… NOW you KNOW that these people are just poooor oppressed “victims of society” lashing out because of their anger, and,…… *BUUUUURRRP!* Yeah, that’s all the further I could go, like I’ve said before, anyone who believes that claptrap is just as guilty as the criminals! Maybe I should have said they were interrupted while performing their duties in their job of “Wealth Redistribution”? Like one of my past mentors said, “You can’t help a fool!”. Replace “fool” with “idiot”, and you have gene pool bottom scum like these jokers, liberal politicians, and GI posers!
I like your style Infidel….well said!
Don’t care if they are a drugged out, gang banger or three piece Madison Ave, button down type. If they are intruders bent on harming me or mine, it is two to the center mass and if still standing, maybe one to the melon!
two and one more if needed? Until he’s down, he’s taking rounds. That’s why God invented magazine changes.
@13 My dad used to say, “If they’re still wiggling, you’re not quite done yet…”
I agree with the sentiment, better to explain 6-10 rounds than be injured by a crazed and wounded intruder…
Wait a minute. You mean some lady took “Crazy Uncle” Joe Biden’s advice and shot someone through the door?
I’d take back what I say about him, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
Someone here made the comment once that you “aim for the belt-buckle and dump the magazine.”
I own a 1911 .45. That sounds about right to me. Those seven rounds will act like the best tranquilizer in the world — calm ’em right the hell down, they will.
I’m not advocating a mag dump all the time, now… just when needed. “To each according to their needs” sort of thing to put it into current Washingtonspeak. Hmm…wonder where I heard that phrase before the current administration…..?

A TRIFECTA!!
The recidivism rate just went down too.
I’m a member of the NRA & as such I subscribe to the American Rifleman magazine. The first thing I do each month upon receipt is turn to The Armed Citizen column & read about the top incidents (that NRA is aware of) of armed citizens defending themselves against criminals. You likely won’t see this kind of information anywhere else.
I reluctantly live in the Pacific Northwest (family matters) after being a native Texan. I remember the news on the radio that often told of such incidents, followed by the news that a grand jury “no-billed” them, meaning the shooters/defenders had all charges dropped. God bless Texas.
@10th MTN NCO, Thanks!
If the offending critter is still wiggling, I’m all for another double tap to its melon!!
@Darkwater, I think TEXAS ROCKS in how they deal with criminal perps, as well as how they let law-abiding folks defend themselves and what’s theirs!
Now the perps body temp is equal to his IQ. And he is in refrigerated storage.
@14, When the going gets tough the tough go cyclic.
