Another Boston bombing suspect shot by FBI

| May 22, 2013

Some news sources are reporting that a man was shot by an FBI agent in Orlando and that he had been questioned about his involvement in the Boston bombing;

The FBI has not confirmed the link to the Boston bombing, but the friends say the man killed by the special agent was friends with Tamerlan Tsarnaev, according to Click Orlando.

A man claiming to be the suspect’s friend told WFTV that the man was being questioned by investigators about the Boston bombings. However, authorities have not confirmed that information.

The friend said the man’s name is Ibrahim Topashev, but the FBI has not confirmed the victim’s identity.

NBC broadcast news has confirmed that the man was a suspect in the Boston bombing, but, ya know, the media hasn’t been the most reliable in this terrorist attack.

Well, the story has to be reviewed, re-reviewed, a draft press release has to be passed around and sanitized and, most important of all, obamaman has to be kept uninformed so that he can get a good night’s sleep and be able to say later, “I knew nothing about this.”

Matt P.

Nice try TAH, but we know that the two brothers acted alone. The news and the White House told us so. Besides, don’t you have more important rungs to do like ignore this latest blunder by DHS?

crucible

“See something, shoot something.”

B Woodman

Huh?! After reading that non-report, was anyone even shot? Was a bullet even fired?

@4. That’s serious sanitizing.

OWB

At least one of the “friends” on camera earlier had the script down correctly. Sounds like he could be related to or on the payroll of the folks at the IRS et al.

“He wasn’t involved and didn’t know anything.” Blah, blah, blah.

Joe Williams

The DHS has to shoot something or person to use those millions of rounds per year they ordered. You Think

faboutlaws

It seems that every muslim you shoot these days foils a plot.

I think it was just another case of work place violence.

PintoNag

The man shot was a friend of the Boston bombers. He was being questioned and attacked the agent with a knife. He was shot as a result of that attack.

That’s what the reports are saying now, at any rate. And doesn’t the FBI search folks they bring in for questioning?

#8, that’s profiling. Islam is a religion of peace. The President told us that. It’s the Tea Party and Conservatives that are the true threat to America. The President told us that, too.

So, just ignore those rogue elements of Islam that encompass about 95% of all Muslims in the world that do bad things. They don’t represent Islam. However, if the government doesn’t watch every Tea Partier or Conservative in America, they could nuke the entire country.

B.Hussein 0bama & Co. know what’s best for us, they say so every day. That’s why they keep close tabs on the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy, those evil racist rascals that tried to do good ‘ol “Blowjob Willie” in!

@8. First, I love that line! Second, now that I hear that local gendarme were present on the scene, if not directly involved with the reported death by LEO-response-to-edged-weapon threat, the truth of what happened may actually make it to our eyes and ears. (Hey, I said MAY.)

Common Sense

Looks like he wasn’t involved in the bombings but in the unsolved triple murder:

An Orlando man was fatally shot Wednesday by an FBI agent who was questioning him about his ties to the Boston bombing suspects and about an unsolved 2011 triple murder in Waltham, Mass., a law enforcement official said.

Ibragim Todashev, 27, was killed while allegedly brandishing a knife, said the official who is not authorized to comment publicly on the matter.

Todashev is not believed to have been involved in the April 15 Boston Marathon bombings that killed three people. But the official said he was being questioned about his interactions with bombing suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and about the 2011 killings.

FBI spokesman Paul Bresson said in a statement that the agent had acted on an “imminent threat” in killing Todashev, WKMG-TV reported.

“NBC News, quoting unidentified investigators, reported that Todashev, who once lived in Boston, had confessed to the agent that he had played in a role in a brutal Waltham slayings and was about to sign a written statement when he allegedly attacked the agent.” Hey, that there is a good argument for conducting such interviews on your own turf, not the suspect’s. Not to mention a few other things. Well, if he had intel, it’s gone, and since this wasn’t a death bed confession–even if recorded–the case is not solved. The state police are under the governor, of course, and this was Mass–so, my hopes for truth are dimming.

I’m just glad the shitbag lost the fight. And I hope the agent doesn’t get too stressed about taking out the trash.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

@15 I guess his role-playing days are over now….

UpNorth

I wonder, was Todashev from Dagestan or Chechnya? How long was he here, and how much in welfare and relocation assistance did he receive?
As for dropping him right there, good job. Unfortunately, AirCav is right, what intelligence he might have had is gone. Probably could have interviewed him extensively, if the Feeb’s had brought him in, rather than gone to his place.

Fjardeson

Pulling a knife on an FBI agent? Sounds like suicide by cop to me. Like any FBI agent is unarmed.

FatCircles0311

hahahahah who the fuck starts officially questioning murder suspects without first doing a simple weapon search on them? The incompetent FBI that’s who!
