Post; Four Pinocchios

| May 14, 2013

Yeah, when the Washington Post gives President Obama four Pinocchios, for his statement that that he has always called the attack on the Benghazi consulate, you know things are getting rough over in the White House. It doesn’t excuse the Post from not giving him any Pinocchios during the election for the same incident, because, you know, the facts haven’t really changed, the only thing different is that Obama isn’t facing an election. In fact the quotes they use in the September article are the same quotes they use in this article, but, now suddenly those same quotes are important;

During the campaign, the president could just get away with claiming he said “act of terror,” since he did use those words — though not in the way he often claimed. It seemed like a bit of after-the-fact spin, but those were his actual words — to the surprise of Mitt Romney in the debate.

But the president’s claim that he said “act of terrorism” is taking revisionist history too far, given that he repeatedly refused to commit to that phrase when asked directly by reporters in the weeks after the attack. He appears to have gone out of his way to avoid saying it was a terrorist attack, so he has little standing to make that claim now.

So they, along with that traitorous wench, Candy Crowley, gave the president all of the cover he needed to make a potentially embarrassing discussion seem irrelevant long enough to get him through the election.

Of course they gave him cover to get re-elected! It didn’t matter, then, but that’s because he was so awesome! Now, that they’re being uncovered as useful idiots, they get their Irish up. Sucks to be them.

Scouts Out

I just read the transcript of the second debate. Candy Crowley provided him no cover. Romney came out and said Obama took 14 days to refer to Benghazi as an “act of terror”, not an “act of terrorism”. Obama rebutted this by telling Romney to “get the transcript”. Romney then implied that the president was lying and Crowley jumped in to verify that Obama called it an act of terror. This is far from traitorous.

If we are going to act like school children – “Liar, liar, pants on fire!”

I like that ‘word to the wise’ warning: Be careful what you wish for. You might get it.

The press got what they wished for, and now they don’t like it, ’cause he’s being mean to them. Pity-pooh.

Well I’m glad that this is over.
I’m sure that we’ll have NO MORE irregularities for the REST of Ohbunger’s term.

Word to the wise–whoever uses the MSM as “fact checkers” is a fucking idiot.

You guys have no idea what you are talking about … it was an act of man-made agression against others!

Ah … what?

Oh … sorry I was dreaming!

OK … I am awake now!

It was most certainly an act of terrorism, by known terrorists, operating freely in the region, were tracked by the CIA, and who planned the attack to coincide with the anniversary of September 11th!

Any fu*king questions?

ChopIT

According to Al Gore it was man-made aggression brought on by man-made global warming!

If you don’t believe him, look it up on the Internet (that he invented). They can’t lie on the Internet!

Uh, bon-JOOR…yeah, Carney is reminding me of that guy more and more every day.

Sadly, the American public is that naive and gullible chick. BTW–did you know the word “gullible” isn’t in the dictionary?

Read it here on TAH – Nobody, ultimately will care. Nobody will give up their “ObamaMoney” or “free” crap. This will probably blow over and the intelligent minority of voters will be out-voted by the mouth-breathing masses. 🙁

The shrieking hyperbole by lefties at the attempt by the Koch brothers to buy the LA Times tells you all you need to know about the current state of play in American politics: the left and the media (but I repeat myself) have a “harmony of purpose” in promoting “progressive” politics and controlling the “narrative” to that end. Anything that disrupts that is a threat, but until the right can find a way to break thru with a counter narrative the left and the media (but I repeat myself again) will continue to spin the news to their advantage-after all, it has worked so far.

@10…this is why the FF said only landowners should be allowed to vote. A sentiment that I’m beginning to agree with more and more of late.

@13 – Have some faith, will ya, big fella?

So, Sparky, you want to eliminate people who rent high-rises or garden apartments in cities like Chicago, or people like retired seniors who choose to live an on-the-go mobile life?

That cuts out a large segment of the population that might just vote right instead of left.

I spent 35 years living in rented apartments because property taxes in Chicago were grinding. I knew a lot of people who felt the same way. Why should we but cut out of voting because we choose to rent instead of buying for economic reasons?

And don’t think renting an apartment gets you out of paying city taxes, either, because it doesn’t.

Ex-PH2: Sorry, I’ve sat through this movie before and I know how it ends. At dinner tonight the restaurant had MSNBC on and the lefty spin was already being pushed. The fact that it was coming from the mouth of Al Sharpton-a man who in a just universe would have gone to prison for incitement to riot resulting in the deaths of several people-only heightened the absolute shamelessness of the left. I have no faith that the GOP will be able to get any traction on this because I have seen them fail so completely so many times before. Obama will-once again-not be held accountable, but Republicans will be hammered for the smallest transgressions (real or imagined) either directly or by association.

The left and the media (but I repeat myself once again) know how to twist public perception to serve their purposes. This past weekend I was pointed to the book “The Blueprint” which is about how the Democrats were able to turn Colorado blue in Presidential elections and unsurprisingly it involved shaping public perception in their favor. When was the last time the GOP got a state to switch? Right now they struggle in Ohio, Florida, Virginia and North Carolina while the Dems target Texas (for f***s sake!) and they expect to be competitive there after 2016. The Dems are corrupt to their core and yet their power increases-that portends only grim things for our country and I can’t put any kind of smiley face on it.

Well, the Democratic Party is keeping this “non-scandal” in perspective. Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over “Benghazi is a laughable joke,”
