See, we should take Toyotas away from people

| March 25, 2013

SJ sends us a link from Carteret County, NC where road rage influenced the driver of a Toyota to punch an innocent Chevy truck driver (all Chevy truck drivers are innocent of everything). the Toyota driver then got angry because he had his ass whooped and pulls a gun;

Once the Chevy pulled into a residence in the Newport area, a man got out of the Toyota and started fighting with a man from the Chevy, deputies said. Then, the man got back into the Toyota SUV, and drove off. The Toyota returned minutes later, and the man started shooting at the Chevy truck, deputies said.

The shooting happened at approximately 1 p.m. Sunday, deputies said. The people who were in the Chevy had left the vehicle and were not hurt, deputies said.

The video at the link shows a different story, but…clearly the Toyota driver is at fault here. I think all Toyotas should be outlawed for obvious reasons. And not so obvious reasons.

Actually the nicely dressed woman hands the guy a gun. You have to look carefully to see it. I missed it but comments on the news here point that out. If the guy had a carry permit then he’s toast. If he didn’t have one, he’s toast. Ditto for the nice looking woman for handing the weapon, I would think.

The hd video makes this fascinating. Looks like a training flic for things not to do with a CCW.

Nobody NEEDS an Assualt-Toyota capble of of MULTIPLE RUNS to 100+ MPH! If we NEED to go that fast, we should call the police who can then drive us that fast.

(sigh)

He shot the truck? That must be one bodaciously dangerous truck. Whupped that Toyotaman’s ass. Toyotaman had to go get a gun and shoot the truck for its insolence.

Just a couple of questions. Did the Chevy truck turn into a giant bot when it whupped the Toyotaman’s ass?

Is this a scene from a “Transformers” movie?

Veritas Omnia Vincit

that’s the problem with japanese cars, once you figure out you can’t win fairly those cars teach you the “Pearl Harbor” attack mode…

You can have my 4runner when you pry it from my cold, dead hands!

Ex-PH2

They don’t call it the Escape for nothing.

NHSparky

You can have my Tundra though. That thing was a piece of shit.

Assuming the Toyota was a 6 cylinder and the Chevy a 8 cylinder, I propose, in order to reduce such violence between trucks, reducing the number of cylinders a truck can utilize (run on) while in operation.

Therefore, commencing immediatley the following cylinder rescritions will be enforced:

10 Cylinder Trucks – Use only 8 Cylinders
8 Cylinder Trucks – Use only 6 Cylinders
6 Cylinder Trucks – Use only 4 Cylinders
4 Cylinder Trucks will be outlawed because they won’t run on 2 cylinders.

These restriction will reduce violence between trucks.

@2 – I’m agree. I think before people are allowed to buy Toyotas, a universal background check needs to be conducted at the dealership, followed by a 7-day waiting (cool off) period before you can drive it off the lot.

Assault with a deadly weapon while your child is in the car, sounds like a good reason to lose your child….

Well, that and the jail time and all…

When Toyotas are outlawed, only outlaws will have Toyotas.
I’ve had a series of Toyota trucks (why a series is a long story. short story, my fault) and enjoyed each one. We are a Toyota family. Don’t even think about taking our Toyotas away from us. As #5 martinjmpr said, “You can have my Toyota when you can pry my steering wheel from my cold dead hands”.

That’s some of my people. Raised in Carteret County and couldn’t wait to get out. Now I’m back enjoying retirement on the water.

Airborne: where? I’m on Cedar Island

FatCircles0311

hahahah that shitbag got his ass beat even when he sucker punched the other guy.

Airborne

Cedar Island! That’s God’s country. I have aplace on Bogue Sound. Newport address but we always considered it Broad Creek.

Airborne: next time you’re down this way say hello. Look for a motorhome and cars with 82nd & 101st front tags. Folks at the store know me. Jonn has my email and now a chop to give it to you.

Love, love, love my new Toyota RAV4. I just got fed up with our usual Chrysler and Chevy cars breaking down constantly with barely over 100,000 miles. Since I’m no longer a spring chicken, I wanted something I didn’t have to climb into, that would hold a good amount of cargo, that was roomy, and would last a long time with few repairs. The RAV4 was best in breed and has a great reliability record.

No more union-built autos for me!

When Toyotas are outlawed, only outlaws will have Toyotas. We need engine and horsepower restrictions, they can be added just like the mandated emissions control equipment, and it will make things much safer for our children of today and tomorrow! Just think what the impact of making everyone drive slower will have on reducing climate change, too!! /exit sarc mode *UUUUURRRRP!*,… *RAAAAALLLLPH!* It was fun, but I did too much at once!

@8–I propose, in order to reduce such violence between trucks, reducing the number of cylinders a truck can utilize (run on) while in operation.

Don’t laugh now, but there are cars/trucks which do exactly that.

Eric

Just like Car and gun registration, since diseases kill more people than guns in the US, they need to outlaw disease.

See, if disease gets outlawed in the country AND you need a special permit to have a disease, especially “concealed” then disease won’t ever come to the US and people will stop dying from disease. People who don’t vote to outlaw disease are FOR disease! You bastards!

I have an 04 Tundra, it’ll be 9 years old in a couple months and I have less than 70,000 miles on it. It doesn’t act up at all, but then it is a V6, so I think that keeps it from getting too mean.
