Why we can’t have nice things
ROS sends us this from Facebook. It kind of illustrates why we can’t have rational discussions with Democrats. They don’t even understand basic issues, so how can we have a discussion;
I tried to count everything that was wrong in those paragraphs and, even with my extra thumbs, I ran out of fingers.
Category: Liberals suck
That can’t possibly be real….can it? Republicans are the ones that aren’t very smart, Democrats tell me that all the time…
Please, God……. tell me that is a joke, right? That can’t possibly be a real letter to a newspaper.
Jesus wept…….
If you add the word “like” to about every other word when you read that screed, you’ll have the basic gist of this person’s maturity.
Morehead City… If only I’d have stayed there!
That’s our local gazette (Carteret News-Times). The paper is unashamedly on the right so that incites loons like this one to write in. This letter is actually good in comparison to the others. A favorite is the local Dim chairman, Kenneth Humphrey, who regularly gets off his meds and writes some great ones. He has a tough life because this area is solidly red. We even dumped the Dim recorder of deeds who had held the jobs for decades after “inheriting” it from his father. Dims whined about the straight party voting then.
Wow, the stupid is strong with that one.
I read that. Now I have a headache.
Chicago less violent than Morehead City? I don’t think so. I lived in Chicago proper for 30+ years. Nothing like the sound of squad cars and ambulances racing up Clark Street every night. It’s much more peaceful where I live now AWAY from Chicago.
And thanks to Chicago’s strict gun control, there are more guns in the hands of criminals now than ever. They collect them so that when the CPD has its cash-for-guns giveaway/buyback, they can get some cash and go buy even nastier guns to rob hair & nail salons.
The rest of that incoherent squawking….headless chicken again.
It aches me that Caesar wasn’t a natural born citizen.
Oh, yeah — that part about c-section births?
It’s called a Caesarean section because that is how Gaius Julius Caesar was brought into the world in 100BC, but this story originated with Pliny the Elder, so it’s hard to verify it now. Still, it looms large in Caesar’s legend.
Disqualified from being POTUS “. . . because their mothers had to have a C-section.”
Well, I have to say that is one piece of idiocy I had never seen before.
This is weapons grade stupid
“But because the Constitution was written a hundred years ago,…” (?????) Really? A hundred years ago? Seriously?
Idiots STILL don’t get their facts strait, even with the simple facts.
IMO, the Constitution was written in such a way that our society should adapt to it, not that it adapts to us.
Hondo, I am quite sure, after visiting this blog for such (comparatively) short time as I have, that there is far more idiocy waiting in the wings to be uncovered.
You wait. You’ll see. LOTS more of it to come.
This has to be a joke. If only it were a little funnier, it’d be easier to spot.
Ex-PH2: undoubtedly true. But this one is truly “special”.
It is either satire which makes it a very good over the top one. If it is not it is very enlightening on the state of some the people on the left thought process and education. Either way it works for me.
When I first read it it sounded a whole lot like it was satire. No one can really be that stupid. Can they?
@17, Have you met Obamagirl? MikeyG? The Round Marine? The Seal from Queens?
Ex-PH2: hell, quit piddling around with the lightweights. Refer PFDRbrendan to Joe and insipid.
@3. My phone was ringing at the same time as yours.
@17. Yes, but not in this instance. The letter writer was having a good old time.
It’s always nice to see someone slip a few words past the editing team…I am not sure it’s check and mate, but it is well played thus far….
@19 – Hondo, I wanted to let PFCRBrendan take the easy route. He can witness the real crackernuts later.
Obviously, this is satire.
The comments about natural birth was what finally gave it away.
BLE …
This guy is my new BLE!
BEST LINE EVER!
“Constitution was written a hundred years ago”
Now now, to be fair, there are some pretty dumb Republicans (Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin come to mind). However, this is a special kind of stupid
@21. I’m wondering if it wasn’t actually penned by an editor. It is rare for a paper to publish anonymous letters to the editor.
“Proud” to be a Democrat but hiding his/her name?
Does the writer grasp the contradiction?
P.S. — If he/she doesn’t want crank calls, get Caller ID. It’s a newfangled invention.
2/17 Air Cav: anonymous is rare. I’ve seen names withheld by request, though. This appears to be the latter.
It indeed could be a joke someone got past the editors. However, I’ve seen some pretty ignorant folks in my life, too. I can also believe someone who was both serious and seriously ignorant actually wrote this and sent it in.
Witness the number of folks out there who believe Palin actually said “I can see Russia from my house.”
Whoever wrote that letter is nuttier than a barge load of squirrel s$%t!
@25: To even think of claiming Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann as “dumb” shows an ignorance on your part that rivals the author of that letter. The only people who would even consider such a concept are those who guzzle the lies and distortions of the MSM and other leftist organs.
Both are brilliant and deserving of higher office and our unfettered respect. I hope to be able to see Sarah Palin sworn in as President of these United States.
FWIW,
I had a friend born by C-section. To this day he never uses the front door of his house. He always leaves through the front window. 🙂
#30, I had the pleasure of her speaking at my Brigades deployment ceremony in 2008 (her son was deploying with us). She sounded very intelligent and was very motivational.
The sad reality is that there are quite a few voters who “think” this way. The writer of this letter may or may not be one of them.
The part about the C-section had me face palming soooo hard…
This guy’s selector switch goes way past Full Retard.
I sincerely hope this is satire.
The guy lives in Beaufort, so he is either a Hippie or some Yankee who came down here to grab up property when it became too expensive in New Yawk.
Dang AW1 Tim @31, that was mighty funny!
C’mon, these are the same people who claim they don’t use oil because they take the bus.
Proud Demorat = Full Nucear Blast Retard I am scared this was not supposed to be SATIRE. Joe
This month (January) the Chicago PD has seized a very large number of ILLEGALLY OWNED guns:

As I said @7 above: Chicago less violent thatn Morehead City, NC?
Doubtful!!!!
Since this “Letter To The Editor” has been making the rounds on the Internet and no one seemed to know if it was legit or not….I checked it out personally. #5 (SJ) is correct. I called the Newspaper in Morehead City, NC and spoke with the Cateret News Times Editor–Mr. Walter Philips. Mr. Philips stated (in a somewhat apologetic tone) that the letter is indeed legitimate and is NOT satire. In quoting him, “I don’t know what to say. It is legitimate.”
I weep for what America is becoming. . .
@40. I can’t get there from here. Did Philips say or otherwise indicate how he knew the letter not to be satire?
This individual is crazier than three shit house rats!
@18 Ex-PH2, I have read a few of those crazy posts from Obamagirl on this site in the past and I guess you are right that people really can be that crazy. Either way, from reading it, it still sounds like someone was playing a joke. Just my own opinion which may be wrong.
2/17 Air Cav: Moorehouse City had a population of <9000 in 2000; Beaufort had a population of <4300 in 2008. It's entirely possible Philips knows the individual who wrote the letter personally.
PFDRbrendan: as the late RAH put it: “Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.”
@Hondo, truer words have never been spoken. Sometimes I forget that my generation gets it’s information from E! news and is addicted to the whole Honey-Boo-Boo thing.
@41 2/17 Air Cav. He stated that it was a real letter sent by one of their readers. I pressed further to make sure that it was not satire and was real.
They evidently know the names of many of their readers and may even check up to make sure they are “real” before publishing them. I did write down what he said to me, and to quote him when directly when asked about whether or not it was real or satire, he paused and thoughtfully said, “I don’t know what to say. It is legitimate.” That’s all I can tell you. He wasn’t very talkative and I believe he was concerned over what my motivations were. I told him I was just fact-checking, but I don’t blame him for maybe being a bit suspicious.
I got the feeling he really wanted to say this person was an idiot. I really did.
