Karzai blames foreigners for corruption

| December 24, 2012

Afghan President Hamid Karzai follows his usual pattern of blaming everyone but himself, especially the foreigners, for the corruption in his government and the billions of dollars that are leaving his country by the bags-full according to the Associated Press;

The country regularly ranks among the most corrupt in the world in indexes and nearly every Afghan has stories of having to pay a bribe to a police officer or a government official.

International donors have long argued that they are trying to help Karzai’s administration clean up the endemic corruption but are stymied by his unwillingness to prosecute political allies. Karzai in turn has repeatedly said that he has not been given the ability to control the billions of dollars flowing in to Afghanistan from foreign countries and so has not been able to police the funding.

Yeah, the tone of the article is more like “Stop me before I steal again.”

Karzai has habitually blamed foreigners for the green-on-blue attacks, the bombings of Afghan civilians, the rumors about his own corruption, and anything else he can think of. So, he’ll get his wish that we all leave soon enough, I just hope that whoever is running our own government at the time has the good sense to cut the ingrate off from the money flume.

Yeah, we’ll cut him off alright. And send the money to the Muslim Brotherhood-backed group (probably the Taliban) that overthrows him instead, à la Egypt, Libya, Syria, etc.

Typical blame-everyone-else attitude.
And, as also typical, Barry, Mr-Chicago-Progressive-Libtard, sees Karzai as a fellow brother-in-corruption, and continues to pour lives and money down the rathole.

It can’t end soon enough for me.
