This is the best of the best. Only a select few get to be here. This is America’s greatest military unit that has unblemished record!

To somewhat paraphrase Churchill, this is one of those situations where we, the many, owe so much to the few, these few young soldiers who literally, walk the walk, for the rest of us. While the service they provide is purely symbolic, it is also totally sacred to those of us who have served and the families of those who have, especially those families of the fallen.
It is truly a privilege to stand silently and respectfully while observing their changing of the guard ceremony which I have been fortunate enough to do on multiple occasions. If you get the chance, don’t let it get away. It will stay with you forever.
I’m proud that I was in the same Army as these soldiers. HOOah!

I had the privilege to work around those soldiers years ago. I will never forget the first time I witnessed the “Changing of the Guard”! We had two of them volunteer for EOD in my unit and I can say that they were two of the most professional soldiers I have met.
As a retired Marine in the DC area, I make it a point to visit Arlington and visit the Tomb. I can honestly admit that these soldiers inspire me with their sense honor, faithfulness, and stoic discipline – and most of all… character. We can (and should) emulate this behavior.
