Living in the age of mockery
The UK’s Telegraph reports that thousands of Muslims will be protesting outside of Google offices in the UK today, because they claim they’re living in “the Age of Mockery” and that folks have no freedom of expression at the expense of their prophet. yeah, it’s mostly about that “The Innocence of Muslims” film;
Organiser Masoud Alam said: “Our next protest will be at the offices of Google and YouTube across the world. We are looking to ban this film. “This is not freedom of expression, there is a limit for that. This insult of the Prophet will not be allowed.
Barricades were erected in front of Google’s headquarters and a crowd bearing placards with the words “We love our prophet more than our lives” and “Prophet Muhammad is the founder of freedom of speech” had amassed by lunchtime.
No one does more to mock their prophet than they do themselves. I don’t see them getting all that exercised about their own zealots who shot a fourteen-year-old girl in the face, or about the thousands of attacks on their own religious adherents by suicide bombers who claim to do it the name of their prophet. if you don’t want your prophet to be a caricature, stop making him one.
Protesting Google and YouTube and at the US embassy is merely protest for the sake of protest.

You remember when millions of Christians rioted over the virgin Mary covered in elephant dung… Oh wait
Sign held by protester: “Muslims Campaign for Global Civility” Bwahahahahahahahahahahahah
Saw this elsewhere and was certain it was satire.
Okay maybe not – but it sure is silly.
This somehow reminds me of the picture of the maroon holding up a sign that said “behead all those who say Islam is violent”.
How small they must believe their god to be. If I were a god and I wanted someone dead, I’d kill ’em.
Can’t help but think that Monty Python could do a great skit about ushering in the Age of Mockery….

@George V
Concur. They were always so adept at that sort of thing.
But to paraphrase an old saying: “Hell hath no fury like peaceful muslims”.
I really hope that pic wasn’t of the 10,000 muslims… I think they may have been using an Obama crowd estimator.
I counted about 150 in that crowd.
“We love out prophet more then our lives.”
Oh, what an open invitation that I’d just LOVE to put to the test.
“Now, just stand still and smile pretty for the front sight picture.”
Those idiots have no idea what freedom of speech even means… Idiots.
Jason, muslims are friends of Obama, he loves the sound of the evening call to prayer. He probably had the USAF fly one of his crowd estimators over just for this gathering of the “10,000”.
If the Italians were badasses they’d say they no muslims can come to Rome since no infidels are allowed to visit Mecca.
Just a thought.
