NATO: “insider” attacks are personal

| September 2, 2012

Despite the fact that the US commanders have said that green-on-blue attacks in Afghanistan are part of the Taliban’s strategy to nip at our heels while we withdraw from Afghanistan, NATO is still blaming US troops for the attacks and Military Times, run by the cowardly, back-stabbing pussy Tobias Niagele, is more than willing to propagate the lie;

“There are a variety of reasons that these attacks have occurred over the last few years,” said Alexander Vershbow, deputy secretary-general of NATO. “The majority still are viewed as having been the result of personal grievances or clashes between Afghan personnel and coalition personnel, and only a small percentage may have been engineered by the Taliban.”

Seriously, Al? Does that explain the “insider” attacks on Afghan’s troops and police as well? Vershbow, the weasel, continues;

Speaking to reporters about the larger security situation in Afghanistan, Vershbow expressed optimism that the country is headed in the right direction.

“In the broader scheme of things, our strategy is working, and the coalition is solid,” he said.

Yeah, if only the Americans and Australians would be more respectful of their goat raping, child-stoning allies, the strategy would be working better.

And, to my surprise, I discover that Vershbow is an American, but apparently, only by birth.

Thanks to Chief Tango for the link.

So now it’s my fault? Great strategy they’ve got there. As an MP we refer to that tactic as blaming the victim. Oh, he was asking for it…

I know I’m officially paranoid, but come on.

If we just embrace our goat raping, child-stoning allies, the strategy would be working better?

Is it just me or does anyone else see a trend here that will be biting us ALL on the ass if it keeps up?

Folks, just embrace Sharia law and relax. Much ado about nothing.

If the goat wants it, is it rape?

@3. How old is the goat?

I’m shocked, just shocked that the U.S. would somehow be blamed. Because coalition trainers demand the Afghan troops be on time, expect professional excellence, works them really hard, and maybe uses some Gunny Hartman style profanity to criticize and motivate – yep, we caused them undue emotional stress – makes perfect sense why U.S. is at fault.

Also, it ain’t just goats and sheep that many Afghans like – its also young boys. Lots of Jerry Sandusky types running loose sans the shower.

For the Administration to admit that insider attacks are a Taliban strategy, would require them to address how it came about. To address that, they would be forced to admit that *for political reasons,* they attempted to grow the ANSF faster than it could be vetted.

That is why the Administration and NATO continue to blame the insensitivity of Our Troops for an effective Taliban strategy.

The interesting thing is that ONLY 1000 Afghan LOCAL Police are now being vetted. That ONLY leaves about 500,000 ANSF unvetted. I guess they’re banking on the Taliban having blown their load.

The amazing part to me is that more of them aren’t doing it. It takes a great deal more confidence in Afghanistan’s current government structure than I have for someone to keep serving in their security forces, knowing that we’ve already conceded the game and are just running out the clock.

Well if these green-on-blue attacks are “personal” here’s hoping that Vershbow pisses off some goat pumping dirtfoot in the near future

Personal? No shit! Took NATO this long to figure that out? Woooooooow!

How cute was the goat?

So by NATO logic, when the Taliban throws acid on little girls trying to go to school, it’s the girls fault also?

I can’t believe the Military Times would let this POS article get published. It looks like I’m going to save 2.50 a week from now on.
