Anthony Vanderhoof, the homeless SEAL
We talked about Anthony Vaderhoof, the homeless SEAL selling trinkets on the streets of Saginaw last month and influenced some reporters to take back their original tear soaked articles about how the VA and the military was mistreating the derelict (previous posts here, here and here). Mary at POW Network came through with his records last night;
Yep, no Vietnam service medals, so it doesn’t look like there’s any time in Vietnam. It looks like he joined after combat troops were withdrawn from Vietnam, anyway. So if he lost his toes, it wasn’t because he stepped on a landmine, not in Vietnam, anyway.

Three years in and discharged as an E-1. Color me shocked.
Maybe that SR stands for something else other than Seaman Recruit like SEAL-Rogue or SEAL-Really! Or, because his records are, of course, SEALed, every mission he was on was Secret, Real.
OK, I’ll Stop – Really.
/facepalm.
Either that or Stupid Retard.
There are a bunch of ways someone can spend nearly 4 years in and get discharged as an E-1, none of them good.
If he lost his toes, he probably fell asleep outdoors in Saginaw, and someone stole them.
he probably was the PLO(permanent Latrine Orderly), would it be the PHO?
Yeah, I’ll be his codename was Agent Orange (like no one else saw Trading Places) too.
