Ortego backpedals from slight to veterans
Bulldog 22, 1/10 Cav. made a comment that he was on TV last night on the local news at KATC about the Ortego comment about “why would we want to attract veterans to Louisiana”. So I went looking for the interview.
So, as always, Ortego says his comments were taken out of context. I don’t know how – he was fairly clear on how he felt that veterans were going to be a burden to the State because we’re all a bunch of nuts. His non-apology makes it sound like we’re all ignorant, too;
“Honestly, the first thing I think is that I could’ve been a lot clearer,” he said. “My point was that we need to expand services for veterans, they’re serving our country, they come back and too often we cut the vital services that they need the most, that being health care.”
No, sir, I think you were plenty clear, ya snot-nosed half wit. I moved the video below the jump because I couldn’t turn off the autoplayer;

Way to apologize there – insult us, then call us stupid for being insulted. Yeah, that IS what you did.
Since you seem incapable of offering a sincere apology because you completely lack any rudamentary understanding of the values of veterans how’s about you just walk away from it?
Any doubt that the meetings he has with vets will be filled with wannabes and traitors? It’s all about making HIM look good, after all.
His apology is just him pandering for the votes now. It’s not an apology, it’s a disgusting grab for votes.
Backpedal? Nah, all he did was flinch a little.
There has to be a vet willing to run against him in his district. Maybe we should start up a REAL Vets Vote…hell even call it that…Real Vets Vote.

I live just outside his district or I would run against his sorry ass. We are hoping for an invite to a town hall with vets. I dont think this issue should go away. We need to keep his feet to the fire.
I went to his web site and left a rather detailed message of what I thought of him and left all my contact info; e-mail addy, snail mail addy & phone #, and have yet to hear from the little butt nut nugget. No response speaks volumes…
I wrote him a nice email and called his office and left a nice message last week. After the interview played yesterday, I thought I would get some kind of response. NOTHING. He is a little liberal punk. I cant wait for the town hall, if he even informs us of when it will be.
