Received this through PGR (it’s on my calendar):

General Information

The parade will begin at the Diamond and proceed down Boulevard and end at the Carillon (WWI monument.)

The theme for the parade will be to say Welcome Home to our Iraqi War vets. Secondarily, we are saying welcome home to vets of other wars (e.g. Vietnam) and thanking our military families for their sacrifices.

The parade will be held RAIN or SHINE.

Priority will be given to military units (active, reserve, guard, Jr/Sr ROTC, military families, veterans groups, EMS (first responders)and then “others”.

One last thing, I submitted the “Parade Application” to the parade committee I have not yet received an email back from them guaranteeing us a spot in the parade. My honest opinion, I do not think they will deny us.

As I get more information I will send it out and then come up with a staging site and time be for we move over to the Diamond.
