The turncoat Afghanistan soldier who killed four French soldiers and wounded more than a dozen others claims he was motivated by the urination video of the five Marines reported an anonymous source to the Military Times;
The article, quoting anonymous Afghan military officials and an intelligence source, claims the soldier confessed during interrogations.
“He said he was strongly motivated to kill the soldiers when he saw the video,” the intelligence source said, according to AFP.
Smells like bullshit. How many soldiers in the Afghanistan Army have access to the internet to view the video in the first place? It sounds to me like the Karzai government is trying to get some sympathy mileage out of the video.
Even if the douche nozzle did say that, even if by some off-chance that he saw the video, what about pissing on his enemies who’ve been killing women and children in his own country pissed him off so badly that he wanted to take out his anger on people that he knew weren’t the guys who committed the act? Is he racially profiling?

The Karzai “government” is a joke anyway. They have already said they would side with Pakistan in a war against the US. They are fanatically anti-Israel. And we could leave 300,000 troops over there for the next 30 years and none of that would change.
Likely the soldier does have access to the internet. Even more likely his advocate told him to say that as said soldier would’ve been too busy looking up pR0n to be finding marines pissing.
Unless, you know, that’s his thing.

It’s actually pretty likely that he saw it online. Not far fetched at all. And for the folks wondering why he would kill the French instead of Marines or random Americans, the answer is simple: Target of opportunity.
This pissing incident is indefensible, and it WILL be used as propaganda and to justify attacks against our forces. Saying things like “Well, they do worse,” or “They’re just using that as an excuse,” might very well be true, but it misses the larger point.

He’s using this defense after the fact because there will be some jackass lawyer that will thoroughly castigate the whole mission in A-stan, and cause a ton of PR damage while defending him. Why? well haven’t you seen Law and Order? that’s TOTALLY what happens in real life.

Second when do we start guilting the entire USMC over this? Being hundreds of miles away at the time is no barrier. The headline should be changed to Marines kill French soldiers right? The Tali-who?
Maybe the USMC should watch when they cast aspertions on the whole USA in such a manner in the future.

Let me add that I don’t believe that dirt eater truly was motivated by the piss video…he was just looking to kill any old infidels. But like I said before, that video is gonna be used as a justification for a lot of attacks.
