Zombie: Is Occupy Oakland as bad as they say?

| October 24, 2011

Our buddy, Zombie’s latest at Pajamas Media attempts to answer the question “Is Occupy Oakland as bad as they say?” with pictures and reportage that we’ve come to expect from Zombie;

Much ado has been made about recent media reports describing Occupy Oakland as a cross between Lord of the Flies and Animal House. The leftist magazine Mother Jones was furious about the negative coverage, deeming it “The Right-Wing Media Assault on Occupy Oakland,” and attempting to debunk the bad press. But Big Journalism lashed back with an article entitled MotherJones: Truth To Unflattering Reports On OWS.

The link provides scads of photos, proof of the abject idiocy and absurdity of the occupiers. Some of the captions are brilliant, the rest thoroughly entertaining. One cautionary note. Unless you have an iron gut, don’t view the pix on a full stomach.

Isn’t Occupy Oakland pretty much redundant? I thought the leftist hippie wierdos occupied Oakland back in the late 60s. If Occupy Oakland isn’t the modern “Coals to Newcastle” I don’t know what is.

I wonder if the Occutards see the hilarity of a sign in front of their group that says, “The Wretched of the Earth”? Nah, they wouldn’t get it if there were instructions for them.

Occutards? I’m using that one.

Feel free, AirCav. That just popped up after listening to the Occutards on the Howard Stern pieces that were put up.

Zombie has the best material to work with in Oakland. Seriously, his photos make the Philly Occupiers look normal.
