El Marko at Occupy Denver

| October 17, 2011

our buddy, El marko dropped off this link to his latest post after he recorded the hippies at occupy Denver; Neo-Cannibals, Deadbeats, Dopers and Democrats Occupy Denver;

Looks like you should have made some different choices, there, Junior. your latest bad choice was wasting that card board to make the sign instead of using it for new roofing for your latest home. Maybe he should have spent that $50k on a vocational school instead of that 2d English Lit degree. And that’s the problem today, college isn’t producing what America needs – to borrow from Judge Smails “The world needs ditch diggers, too”.

In the same vein;

Happy dreaming, there, Junior. You don’t get to name your wages in this environment. Maybe you ought to try selling that art history degree at Starbucks. And that’s not a $75k/year shave you have going there, pal.

As both a Veteran and a recent college grad, I must say, I am in the exact same boat as these rejects, but, I have an ace in the hole with the 10 point preference, and I am actually actively looking, whilst these yahoo’s are protesting and slacking. I mean, seriously? Instead of bitching, build your happy ass a LinkedIn profile, start looking at usajobs.gov, and get yourself out there! And know that no company in their right mind is gonna hire you right off the bat for $75,000!

After last week, which sucked by the way. I am about ready to load up in a truck grab some bricks and start chucking them at assholes with signs like these. I may not get me a new job, but damn it will make me feel better. They have to get the difference between opportunity and results straight. Shit my wife has a J.D. doesn’t make 75,000.

“The world needs ditch diggers, too”, shit do you think that pussy could dig a ditch for a living? I think not. Perhaps a cardboard sign and life as a bum is the right way for him to go.

Frankly Opinionated

I’ve never stolen college money from the taxpayers, nor used my own to get a job. I have a much better method: I worked my ass off doing things I enjoy, let the bosses see it, then when I use them for references it helped me to get the “better job”. I have made over $75 G’s for 3 of those years, and again, by long hours and good hard work. I am better for it today. And now, not having a student loan debt, (nor any other debt), I am free to use what income I have as I see fit. I don’t pay interest on anything, therefore not buying insurance to cover the lender. Saves a ton of money.

Bubblehead Ray

Wow. I can see the conversation he had in his Mother’s basement before joining the protest now. “Junior! You need to get out there and get a job”. “I’m trying Mom, but the last company that offered me one was only offering $40,000 to start and I was going to have to work my ass off for it. I’m holding out for at least $75,000 and a corner office… HEY, I know how to get a high paying job! I’ll dress like shit, join all of the other useless retards downtown, and hold up a cardboard sign!”

Just Plain Jason

btw anon was me I forgot to fill out my name…damn it.

Trent

I don’t ever recall anyone telling me that after I got my degree, a job would be waiting for me.

I also don’t recall anyone ever holding a gun to my head forcing me to take out a student loan.

After leaving active duty, it took me well over ten years of working in the civilian sector to get to the $50k a year salary.

I have no sympathy for these losers.

defendUSA

Turns out the owner of Zuccotti Park owns a wind farm…shall we connect the dots? Wind Farn, DOJ, Pied Piper, Holder??? Mother effers. benefit of the doubt? Not so much.

From what I gather from the photos of the El Marko link either these occupy get togethers are an angry white thing or Denver has rounded up all the blacks and mexicans. I counted 4 male blacks and since they all look alike to me it could have been the same guy for all I know. ///

Anyway it looks like rabble without a clue

DaveO

Ever notice how these jackasses aren’t protesting in front their alma mater’s Admin building?

In all likelihood, these protestors don’t know the difference between their university and these banks.

Old Trooper

For all our friends on this blog who are Cav: Notice the chucklehead behind the college grad wanting a $75,000 job…….that’s right, he’s sporting the 1st Cav combat patch.

jerry920

#11 OT. When is the last time anyone wore rank on a fatigue shirt? He looks a little young for that IMHO.

SGTKane

#12 jerry and made E-6 at a time when rank was earned rather than given too.

I really want to do a “We are the 1%” product that shows our military and what it has done, and what it is doing.

Something in line with Kurt Schlichter’s “Protestors should try occupying reality for real change”.

Susan

Let me get this straight, you graduated from college and think you should be paid $75K a year to start. Are there no men in white coats at these things? Someone is clearly delusional.

Mommynator

In June of 2013, I will have earned my RN. I will be able to make the big bucks. But I’ve had to kill my brain studying and my body with clinicals doing crap work to get it.

Can’t wait.

2-17AirCav

That’s a 1st Cav patch but one was the last time you saw a full-color one worn as a combat patch on fatigues? He also appears to be wearing white socks over black ones. As we said when we were kids, “You’re ugly and your mother dresses you funny.” Love the drum and matching bandana. A regulat fashion plate he is.

And what’s with the little birdie shirts? Is Johnathan Livingston Seagull back in vogue?

Claymore

If you went to college, majored in some bullshit degree and find yourself unemployable, tough fucking shit. End of story. Enjoy repeating the phrase, “Would you like fries with that?” knowing your women’s studies degree will help you sell more chocolate shakes to fat chicks with low self-esteem.

I hope Woody Allen is taking notes. As they say “you can’t make this shit up.”

Sporkmaster

You know the funny would be? If someone told them that they could fix that problem by joining the military Officer Corp. I am sure that tuition repayment would work great for you.

NHSparky

Someone ought to tell that hippie that I didn’t need my college degree to land the job I currently have which makes well in excess of $75K, but then again, he would be shitting his Depends if he had to work under the conditions and hours I have to put in to get it.

Ah, fuck it–he’d never pass the drug test anyway.

Old Trooper

2-17AirCav in #16: I think they went to subdued rank back in about ’67-’68, but I can’t be sure about that time frame. I know in ’65-’66 they were still wearing the bright rank/unit patches.

ObamaGirl

What industry do you work in Sparky? Senior Citizen Porn? LOL!!!!

ObamaGirl

And Sparky you realize that if you make more than 75k a year but have to work 75 hour work weeks that the job is basically a 40k a year job based on a normal working week.

People go to college to make more and not have to toil as much. Maybe you should try it sometime. But I doubt you could hack it in academia.

Sporkmaster: Or he could become a Officer and have loan repayments. Again just a thought.

NHSparky

Fuckstick, at 25 cents a “Altoids knobber”, you’re still well below the poverty line.

I said, “well in excess of $75K”. I didn’t say HOW well in excess. You probably wouldn’t like the answer.

And what industry do I work in? Holy fucking obvious clues, Batshitcrazygirl! How many times do I have to discuss it on this fucking blog, given my military experience and my user name, for starters? I believe I’ve even discussed the exact location of my employment once or twice.

So sorry, no senior pron for you today. I have a girlfriend, thanks for asking. And nobody has to grease her hips and throw out a candy bar like they do you to get you out of the house.

NHSparky

Oh, and academia? 3.6 GPA in Nuclear Power School. 3.8 GPA in Engineering when I got my Bachelor’s. Fuck your “academia” bullshit. You have no fucking clue what an academic challenge is, OG.

Go back to the fucking NJ Turnpike already. The truckers are waiting.

ObamaGirl

I got my undergrad at Seton Hall and I am pursuing my masters at Fordham, where did you go to school Keane? I think I went to a few keggers there. Very Impressive!! LOL!!!

NHSparky

Seton Hall admission stats from 2008-09
Applicants 9,775
Admitted 7,146
Acceptance rate 73.1%
Yield rate 17.1%
Seton Hall University’s average SAT scores fall between:

Verbal: 490 and 600
Math: 490 and 600
Writing: 500 and 600
(25th to 75th percentile)

The university I attended:

Applicants 9,664
Admitted 6,122
Acceptance rate 63.3%
Yield rate 42.9%

average SAT scores fall between:

Verbal: 590 and 690
Math: 650 and 730
Writing: 580 and 670
(25th and 75th percentile)

Sucks for you, beyotch. And it’s “Keene State”, not Keane. Besides, they’re on the other side of the state from me. Actually, UNH has higher admission standards than Seton Hall, so color me unimpressed, mkay?

Thejester

OG, that’s what’s wrong with this country. People like you want tons of money without really working for it. So you went to college. Well fuck me silly. I have never met a dumbass, lazy, selfentitled college grad. Nooooo…..never. u seem to be one of those. Well maybe if your happy/communist friends have their way you can get some of my hard earned money for nothing….please do us a favor and go felatiate a 12 gauge until you get it off.

Cedo Alteram

#19 Spork, please don’t give them any ideas. We don’t need anymore subterfuge.

NHSparky

Cedo–I wouldn’t worry. Officer accessions in the Navy and Air Force at least are, to put it mildly, pathetic. If you’re not Academy or ROTC, forget it. Marines may be in the same boat. Don’t know about Army.

Bottom line, few if any of these fuckers would be able to make it past the physical/screening at MEPS to enlist, even if they wanted to.

Thejester

Spark…TANG not so hard. I know of several green to golds.

NHSparky

Navy is actually sending pilots to IRR after USNA until they can find a slot for them at P-Cola, they’re that full.

Then there’s this guy:
