Marines to “protect” Wall Street protesters
You’ve probably heard that there were hundreds of protesters arrested on Wall Street> well, Ward reilly, the phony Vietnam Veteran and phony Ranger, in a link sent by Toothless Dawg, posted on his Facebook page that a group of former marines are headed to Wall Street to supposedly “protect” the protesters” from police;
“I’m heading up there tonight in my dress blues. So far, 15 of my fellow marine buddies are meeting me there, also in Uniform. I want to send the following message to Wall St and Congress:I didn’t fight for Wall St. I fought for America. Now it’s Congress’ turn.
My true hope, though, is that we Veterans can act as first line of defense between the police and the protester. If they want to get to some protesters so they can mace them, they will have to get through the Fucking Marine Corps first. Let’s see a cop mace a bunch of decorated war vets.I apologize now for typos and errors.

Yeah, guys, who wants to protect the rest of us who depend on the activity on Wall Street? You know, those of us who have 401ks and mutual funds. From being arrested for breaking the law? Nice way to “defend the Constitution”. When you Marines get to New york and the protest, look around at the ash and trash hippies you’re “protecting”. Most are professional protesters and rumors persist that many of them are Canadians – so you’re going to defend the Constitution by protecting Canadians from arrest?
Someone asked me if Adam Kokesh is going to be there in New York. Apparently not. he was in DC protesting against Obama along with GWU students, according to this video sent by one of my ninjas;

You do know most of those “evil doers” were doing so because of laws passed by democrats? You do realize that Witewater was all about the Clintons using legal fuckery to royally screw people. Providing loans to “those who would not normally be able to afford it”. If they can’t normally afford it why for the love of all that is holy would they suddenly be able to afford it?
throw in absolutely INSANE regulations and insistence on “Green” things that don’t actually do anything. A knee jerk reaction about “global warming” and no clear evidence about the cause(solar output, distance from sun even international air travel). all that gets passed on to the “fat cats” and to even be close to economically viable they HAVE to pass that on to the consumer. Again you’re confusing things. Right of assembly refers to being able to actually gather together in large crowds. in the most literal sense yeah, again not protest. But if you need anything more specific, you MUST obey lawful commands of police, and CAN NOT disrupt other citizens in their rights to go about their business. That’s why you need permits for rallies. And all those marches with police ringing them? that’s not the Police agreeing, that’s the police making sure it doesn’t get out of hand, and being on hand if (see when) it gets out of hand.
Oh and suggesting violent over throw of the Us Government (or the systems the US relies on) is NOT protected speech. (See treason).

Rowan–I love how you quote a guy who was pimping someone (FDR) who not only pissed on the Constitution by passing Social Security and other New Deal programs (read: vote buying) much the same way Obama jammed through Obamacare (it’s a tax! No it’s not, it’s a mandate!), trying to stack the SCOTUS when his policies got smacked down, but ended up prolonging the misery of Americans for an entire decade until WWII came around.
Again, you conveniently ignore my earlier statements in that you don’t recognize your own disconnect between business and government. As was earlier pointed out, government’s strength and reach is a direct correlation to that of corporations; that is to say, their hold on us is only as strong as government’s hold over us. Yet you’d give yourself over to the state like the dutiful serf.

You want guaranteed $20/hr jobs for life, and every other demand your little groups have put out? Guess what–ain’t gonna happen. Never has, never will. Wealth, the concept of money, is NOT a zero-sum game. Taking it from someone for yourself isn’t the way to CREATE wealth. You have to do it for yourself, hence the concept of MAKING money. Sparky has an interesting point. FDR resurrected a populist idea, Bi-metalism, which would have been gold and silver, and would have raised prices on crops to help out farmers. Only thing is FDR got rid of metal altogether. What we have had since then is Fiat money. Money based on nothing but faith in the government. The second we lose faith that the government CAN pay its debt our money will be worth about as much as a confederate dollar in 1865.
Also notice, every time minimum wage has been increased, there has been a corresponding increase in the price of just about everything. Also the number of jobs out there actually goes down. We forget that the minimum wage is there for little more than STARTING pay. within a year most people on it are usually earning $2.00 above min wage at the very least. Also who is usually on it? people getting their first job, and *illegal* aliens. but you have to remember that it WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE A LIVING WAGE.
$20.00 an hour? for unskilled labor? What do you propose the pay should be for ya know actual SKILLED labor? What should you pay say Doctors, Police, Firefighters, Nuclear Reactor operators? And if the MINIMUM wage is $20.00, where it’s about $7.25/hr now, how much more do you think simple things like Apples will cost?
