Ron Paul won’t seek reelection

| July 12, 2011

Ron Paul claims that he won’t seek reelection for his congressional seat in 2012 so that he can focus on his presidential run next year according to Fox News;

Paul made the announcement via Twitter, and linked to a local Texas newspaper to share the details.

“I felt it was better that I concentrate on one election,” Paul told The Facts, a news service covering Brazoria County, Texas, a portion of which Paul represents. “It’s about that time when I should change tactics.”

We may be rid of him by the end of February. Of course, he’ll probably continue to soak his hard-headed supporters who were still sending him money right up until the end of the 2008 election, although he’d been out of the race before mid-April. Somehow they were convinced he could still win. He carried 1% of the primary vote among Republicans. In some states it was as high as 5% which in his supporters’ minds was enough to win the election.

Yes, his small government and limited spending resonates, but then he caps it off with a 19th century foreign policy – not to mention his supporters who range from Iraq Veterans Against the War to Storm Front racists and every subspecies in between.

Yeah, I’m going to quit hitting on Scarlett Johansson so I can focus my attention on Eva LaRue, cuz my lack of focus is why I can’t score with Eva LaRue.

Thanks to TSO for the link.

His constituents only reelect him to keep him far, far away from them. They may reelect him anyway, for just that reason. For some folks, their absence is their best feature.

I haven’t heard such good news in a long, long time.

Wow, a twofer, he has no chance to be nominated for President, and now he won’t grace congress with his presence.

HEHEHE….about fracking time! Oh yea, Jonn? His donations kept rolling in well into 2009. Roughly 1.2 MIL worth….and then toss in his “investment portfolio”…

As batshit crazy as Ron Paul is, this demonstrates the difference between most dems (particularly Prezident Urkel) and people like Paul, in that he is not going to get reelected, then fuck off and run for office, thus leaving his constituents without representation.

BTW, that is precisely what Chicago Jesus did.

One down, one to go.
