Matthis in your school

| May 31, 2011

One of my ninjas sent us these videos.

Here’s a Philadelphia teacher explaining why she thinks it’s so important for her students to hear Matthis’ lies. She explains that her students need to learn about what went on in Iraq…but if she’s waiting to hear from Matthis, she’ll be waiting awhile because he never went to Iraq;

For example, here’s Matthis telling students in a NYC public school just last week that he has an addiction because of what he experienced in the Army. I guess Baskin Robbins ran out of sprinkles for his sundae during his six days at Bagram.

Yeah, an addiction that stems from his experiences. He’s trying to lay the groundwork for some PTSD claim for something that is entirely his fault.

I have screen shots of the teachers on my other computer in the event Brower takes these videos down again.

And here he explains the “Collateral Murder” video – even though he has no experience in the incident or Iraq. He continues on with the story that he was a “nice young man” when the Army took advantage of him when they recruited him. We all know the story about why he was living in a tent when he joined. But for some reason he doesn’t tell the students.

Now he says he’s less of a man because of his military service. I’ll agree that he’s less of a man, but the military had nothing to do with his loss of manhood.

you gotta love Public schools that prevent ANY teacher from being fired. This shyte would NEVER happen in a private school.

I have to get into the ninja business.

Frankly Opinionated

She is educating America? She is un-educated herself. What a twit. GOD save America from those as dense as her.

BooRadley

I love how people say “it got them to THINK” when what they really mean is “it persuaded them to THINK ABOUT THINGS MY WAY.” Because, if we’ve already gone through it all in our head and have made our decisions about our views, and our views don’t match what these people think– we (or the kids in this case) DON’T THINK. ugh. Idiots.

Outlaw13

He apparently doesn’t know that officers fly helicopters in the Army either.

I am so sick and tired of seeing and hearing these lies about what happened and that “teacher” is just as much to blame as the person doing the actual lying.

Old Trooper

The scariest thing in all of this is that the “teacher” isn’t very smart, yet she is teaching/indoctrinating our kids based on ehr personal views. I know that many, many people put teachers on a pedestal as being smarter/wiser than everyone else, but to be honest, they aren’t any smarter than anyone else with a undergrad degree and as for wisdom…….

StrikeFO

i never actually watched any of these matthis videos before because i figured it would be pointless, but i clicked it this time… and it turns out, i was right. and he sounds like a woman.

wahh wahh i’m addicted (to what) and the recruiters lie and people get rich off of war!

who’s paying your salary douchebag?

One Ninja

Do more than complain, fight back. Many of you already do, but call whoever you need to call. Write who ever you need to write.

Bohemond

Anybody have email addresses for this teacher’s principal and superintendent? They need to be set straight about the Matthis Traveling Snake Oil Show (emphasis on the snake).

jerry920

Can someone help with the images on the wall? I see MLK, Rosa Parks, is that Angela Davis in there? Don’t see Che or Menchu anywhere but I can’t see the whole board either.

Sporkmaster

Here is the website for the School District of Philadelphia but I am having a hard time finding a good contact for email.

lucky

I agree with One Ninja, fight back, write to school boards, show up at their meetings! If there is a Veteran’s program where you can go and speak to kids yourself, DO IT! It is very rewarding and gets your perspective and your story across. Me, I am contemplating becoming a substitute teacher, at least as a start. When will Matthis just OD and save the world from his retarded ideas?

Junior AG

“And here he explains the “Collateral Murder” video – even though he has no experience in the incident or Iraq.”

Or actual combat experience for that matter…

Sporkmaster

I emailed a few of the local chapters of the American Legion in that area with a short description and link here to what was going on. I am waiting on a reply back.

I have tried reaching people in the school district without any luck.

Sean

I see Browers Son is suddenly a Bearded Anti War type. NYPD finally canned him for lying. Again I think the best thing is to make the Mayor & Board of Education in thses cities aware that teachers have allowed a Self Admitted Sex Offender and Drug Dealer into classrooms without permission from the BoE and Parents. Imagine the rage of a Parent finds out teacher X let a rapist talk to there child without even the courtesy of telling the parents beforehand.

Richter11B

Matthis and Lilyea are the same type of person.. Spreading lies for an agenda.. Lilyea just does it under the pretense of supporting the war while Matthis doesn’t support it. I wouldn’t trust either one.

Sporkmaster:Post your ERB,DD214 or anything shows that support your claims. Also still waiting on that AKO email. If you cannot do any of the listed above then do not bother posting again.

One Ninja

The best method I’ve found is to set aside time and beat down the phone lines. The more direct the better.

Sporkmaster

I have a time zone disadvantage. By the time I get out of work they are gone for the day. That is why I always use email.

What you can do right now:

Robert Brady (D) is the 1st District’s Congressman which includes Philly. He sits on the Armed Services Committee. Call his office and demand to know why schools in his district are letting in anti-military/anti-veteran propagandists into classrooms and putting videos of their children on the internet without parental consent.

You can send links to the videos to his office utilizing this page: https://brady.house.gov/index.cfm?sectionid=195

or

You can call his office in Philly at (215) 389-4627 or his D.C. office at (202) 225-4731. Make sure you let them know that your next call will be to the Pennsylvania Republican Party to find out what they think of it.

http://www.pagop.org/

Feel free to call the Republican who sits in the adjacent 7th District, Pat Meehan: http://meehan.house.gov/

After that call the local news stations in Philly and provide their producers with links to the videos, they love this stuff (right after Memorial Day no less):

http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/
http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/index
http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/

Talk up the “veterans under attack” angle and let them know that the WCW bases it’s membership out of SF and NYC.

NotSoOldMarine

I forgot the Fox affiliate:

http://www.myfoxphilly.com/

Sporkmaster

Thanks I be contacting them later tonight.

freebirdnavybrat

ever the douchebag

Tman

I dunno, I hope I’m wrong but I have a feeling the school board and school don’t give two hoots about the truth or the military for that matter. Probably all the same anti military “imperialistic” garbage.

As they say, birds of a feather….

NotSoOldMarine

re #20

Awesome. My phone is busted but I fired off emails to the Fox and CBS affiliates. A pile on will never hurt.

Another avenue for those who are so inclined: Call Michael A. Davis’ office and ask for him, he’s the district’s general counsel. Ask him if his teachers have the authority to invite outside groups like this and if so what the criteria for approval is and whether or not this teacher got that approval, or even asked. Then inquire the legality of political activist groups bringing in camera equipment and filming children without parental consent. If the rules/laws were broken ask if this is cause for termination of this teacher. This is all Dr. Davis does so bug him about it.

General Counsel (Legal) 215-400-4120

One Ninja

NSOM, thank you for sharing this.

NotSoOldMarine

Here’s the General Council GPU for the NYC Public Schools:

http://schools.nyc.gov/Offices/GeneralCounsel/Legal/GPU/default.htm

Start at the bottom with Robin Singer, the associate Council at (212) 374-7536. Ask about the legality of these visits, ask what the criteria is for access to students and ask about the City’s privacy laws in filming students during class time without parental consent. Then ask who the faculty was who authorized these filming then, if you’re told this isn’t allowed, ask if this is cause for termination and if not why not. Let her know you’re calling local media outlets and veteran’s groups next.

freebirdnavybrat

I like the idea of alerting the media. Googled some ‘news tip’ email addresses for the NBC, CBS & ABC affiliates in Philly. Who knows? They might actually follow up if several of us pepper them regarding the same story!

Just curious- would you guys have a problem if someone who supports the war went into schools and talked about the war?

It’s not so much that I have a problem with students hearing both sides of the story, but I think someone who isn’t a liar/drug-dealer/admitted rapist should be the one to talk to students. People like Matthis shouldn’t be allowed near a school.

One Ninja

I’ll be the odd one out and answer your question with a “Yes”. It will never be completely free of it, but we must keep propaganda out of schools. Recruiters have way too much pull in schools. To the point that I know Combat Vets who are teachers who have stopped allowing them from coming into their classrooms specifically because of what students have come back and told them time after time.

There does need to be balance. However, what these people are doing is nothing short of bigotry based on job as opposed to race, religion, etc etc.

Anonymous:
We wouldn’t have a problem with someone who is against the war talking, so long as he/she is what they say they are. If they choose to enlighten on life in combat, they should have a background as such. It isn’t that we are against anyone talking about the war, just that these talkers have no creds here, plus all that is negative about such as Metthis. i.e. “liar/drug-dealer/admitted rapist”. We are in agreement on that much for sure.

Richter11B @ 15 –

Except Jonn actually, I don’t know, minimally tells the truth about who he is and does not blame anyone else for his choices or actions. I know Jonn doesn’t really care if you trust him or not, since you have proved yourself to be a narcassistic windbag over and over here.

Further, as to your comments to Sporkmaster about “not bothering to post again” – this became you blog excatly when?

Sporkmaster:That was me writing to him.

NotSoOldMarine

re #30,

I linked the Philly CBS and Fox affiliates here in the news tips I put out.

NotSoOldMarine

re #27,

Of course I’d care. It’s not that Matthis & Co. are just against the war, that’s fine and that’s a policy debate worth having. The problems are that Matthis himself is a scum bag and their presentations are not of an academic tone. The guy got busted selling drugs on school grounds, lies about his military record and has admitted to the rape of underage girls. He and the rest of the WCW hide their underlying political agenda in giving these “presentations” and present material in a propagandist manner. They warp and twist facts into disingenuous narratives or at times flat out lie. This is not to encourage discourse or enlighten people to the truth but because they’re semi-professional members of a political vanguard and these stunts help their partisan cause.

Anonymous in Jax

It’s not so much the message that irritates me, although I do think Matthis takes it too far. It’s more the question of why does Matthis have to be their poster boy to deliver the message? Seriously, could they pick a bigger dirtbag to speak to kids?! It blows their credibility straight out of the water. And if I had a kid in one of these classrooms, I would be FURIOUS.

One Ninja

NSOM, thank you so much for your gathering of info for us. I’m going to put it in motion tomorrow morning.

Sporkmaster

Remember this post?

It has images of him posing with students that look very much like minors.

One Ninja

An admitted rapist amongst children, again. Did the Army make him do that too???

Doc Bailey

Jax, I have a huge problem ith McCord because he misrepresents what happened, and used it for profit. I have a big problem with Matthis, because he LIES about what happened/happenes. He talks about hundreds of thousands of rapes, about how we’re all a bunch of racists, and NEVER gives the slightest nod that we MIGHT be a professional army.

“Collateral Murder” SHOULD NOT BE SHOWN TO CHILDERN. I don’t care the context. The public’s need to know only goes so far.

#36 Sporkmaster, I hate to say it but most of the kids in that post would never cut mustard with the Army anyway.

To all, I have actually talked to some of the pilots, and most of the folks on the ground in that video. Most of us are pissed about how it’s being used, and saddened that the Army or DoD hasn’t done more to combat it. Personally, if ANYONE has any ideas how to stop this I’ll listen. I take it rather personally, cuz this was MY unit that was about to get jumped, and I want to once and for all lay this shitbag blue falconing douchebagery to rest once and for all!

One Ninja

Any new info?

Sporkmaster

I have not recived any reply to my emails as of this date.

The Sniper

I don’t see how this guy could be even less of a man that he already is or ever was. Sinking any lower would involve oozing back into the primordial soup and raping a child along the way.

NHSparky

Is it just me, or is it just a goofy coincidence that a phony-asses SEAL wannabe is being discussed at the same time as a phony-assed anti-war activist baby-raper drug-dealing wannabe “Iraq/Afghan vet”?
