Manning’s comment results in naked measure
You’ve probably read all last week how guards at the Quantico brig began taking Brad Manning’s clothes every night, forcing him to sleep naked. I knew there was probably a very good reason if it happened at all. This morning Politico reports that his defense lawyer explains why, after nearly a week of whining about it;
…Manning “was told that there was nothing he could do to downgrade his detainee status and that the Brig simply considered him a risk of self-harm. PFC Manning then remarked that the [Prevention of Injury] restrictions were ‘absurd’ and sarcastically stated that if he wanted to harm himself, he could conceivably do so with the elastic waistband of his underwear or with his flip-flops.”
Manning’s allegedly sarcastic comment about using his underwear or slippers to hurt himself was apparently taken seriously by jailers, who then ordered him to spend seven hours each night without his underwear or any other garments.
Note to Manning’s lawyer in case he doesn’t know; You also don’t make sarcastic comments about bombs at the airport.
…[T]hey could undoubtedly provide him with clothing that would not, in their view, present a risk of self-harm,” Coombs wrote.
Yeah, like big boy disposable diapers.

I feel soooo sorry for the Dick-Smoker. Maybe Lady Batshit can come sing for him.
Seriously Thunder? What have the guards at Quantico done to deserve that?
The fact that Manning feels confident enough to make “sarcastic” comments to his Marine jailers shows just how coddled he really is.
Never fear, Code Pink and IVAW and other assorted socialists are on their way to share their panties with manning on March 20th. They’ll make things all better and maybe even bring him a cuddly bear to sleep with.
FYI, they announced they will be coming down from DC by bus to Rt1 and Joplin Rd and then march the hundred yards to the main gate.
See I keep hearing about how awful his detention is. Being at WVU I get to hear about, read about even “see” the “wrongs” of Manning’s detention. the methods used were not more extreme than the methods used at Basic for the f**ktards that wanted out. Manning had the luxury those idiots didn’t in that he has his own cell (the Suicide Watch in Basic slept on a litter in the SDNCO office, in clear view of someone at all times. I might add that they had no way to turn the lights off.)
Manning is the type that thinks he’s still in control. He thinks that he is somehow still sticking it to the man. I’m pretty sure when his illusions finally do shatter (if they haven’t already) he really will be suicidal. Not in the “I’m going to do it right and end this s**t” sort of way but the “I’m really sad and want someone to love me” sort of way. I truly believe its only when he faces the Hangman’s Noose that he will realize the severity of his crimes, and come to realize that he is not, in fact, in control.
Cry me a fucking river BRADASS, maybe you’ll drown in it.
