Autumn Sandeen still whining about DADT
TSO sent us this link about Autumn Sandeen, the gentleman who served 20 years in Navy and then decided he didn’t want to be a gentleman any longer;
“If I had told people about being transgender, I would have been kicked out for being mentally disaffected,” she said.
According to military regulations, a gender identity issue is a mental disorder. Those who openly identify with the opposite sex or cross-dress are banned from enlisting. Military regulations say cross-dressing can be grounds for court-martial.
“Mentally disaffected”? Really? “Mentally discontented and resentful especially against authority” according to the dictionary. I think you meant “defective” Autumn, old boy.
“We’re not allowing capable people who have something to offer the country to serve their country,” said Sandeen.
Um, you just did twenty years and retired. How are we “not allowing capable people to serve”? You mean to say that we’re not allowing capable people to serve while wearing frilly pink sun dresses.
Attorney Bridget Wilson has represented a handful of transgender personnel kicked out of the military. She said the first change will likely first have to come from the world of mental health.
“That means you have to get it out of the book of mental disorders because that’s the basis of the discrimination,” said Wilson.
Well, ya know, this might mean it really is a mental disorder;
A few years ago, Sandeen bought a female uniform for photos so she could be remembered for who she was and not for who others thought she was. It was an action that would not have been necessary if Sandeen had been allowed to serve openly.
Why wouldn’t he prefer the uniform in which he served? And, ya know what? I haven’t found a reason to put my uniform on in the sixteen years since I retired, let alone buy a new one. Of course, I’m not an activist trying to make a stupid political point with a military uniform, either.
While federal law prevents VA facilities from performing sex-change surgeries, some VA centers provide hormone treatment and counseling.
Why? How could that be service-connected?
10News spoke to several groups opposed to “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” and they said allowing transgender troops to serve openly would be a big distraction and a problem for morale.
Oh, a big distraction? Really? Sort of like allowing gays to serve in the military and making the transition while there’s a war on?

The money quote: “[Attorney Bridget Wilson] said the first change will likely first have to come from the world of mental health.”
And as we type, the gospel of psychiatry is being re-written and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) will be published in May 2013. Should gender identity no longer be considered a mental illness, as homosexuality used to be considered, expect lawsuits galore.
It’s pretty ugly.
This isn’t a can of worms — it’s a basket of asps. God help our poor military.
Thank gawd IT’S a Navy veteran.
Swing both ways you never go home alone!
Definitely nothing to see here.
I don’t understand wanting to wear that uniform in the photo. He wasn’t a she when he served or retired.
Does he/she wants to be the poster girl for being on the wrong side of genetics?
And the court cases begin..In 20 years(or less), you can bet we will be arguing why transgender people aren’t detrimental to the military and should be able to serve their country “out of the closet.”
This shit is coming. Don’t think it won’t. Of course, the homosexuals have eliminated the morale and unit cohesion arguments. Anyone who (correctly) cites the negative impact transgenders will be accused of being a dinosaur who probably thinks homosexuals should be exluded too. After all, the old morale/cohesion chestnut was used by homophobes in the past and it fell apart in tatters. It’s the last refuge of scoundrels.
It didn’t fall to pieces in tatters, of course. Anti-DADT forces won the day, but they’re still wrong.
It isn’t just the military that classifies transgenderism as a disorder. The American Psychiatric Association calls it GID–Gender Identity Disorder. It’s in their Diagnostic and Statistical Manual IV.
So basically, this guy is fucked up in the head and he thinks that his fellow mental patients should be allowed to serve.
It’s too bad too. We’ve already passed the point of no return. With the repeal of DADT, we established military service as a “right”. After all, if a person is patriotic and just wants to serve, they should be able to, right?
>This shit is coming. Don’t think it won’t
Yep, because their “wins” are never enough. The whole sexual orientation agenda is looking for something that they won’t find in politics-acceptance. Somebody didn’t tell these people when they were children that not everyone was going to like you, and that life isn’t fair. Bedroom behavior(anybody outside our own) is going to be abhorent to other people. We all have our own kinks and don’t understand each others
And for those who think there isn’t a slippery slope- you’re wrong. Canada is about a decade in front of us on this. They are now “reevaluating” their anti-polygamous laws. Pedophiles have sued for a protected orientation in Canada.
Can’t every happen in America..? There are Psychology papers, and legal briefs in our system right now arguing that polyamourous, polygamous relationships should be legal- and that adults who have “sex” with children don’t do any damage to the child psyche.
Sorry forgot to give citations:
Here is citation about “adult-child” relations.

Looks like some items on the list may need to be updated…
2. My proper military title is “Specialist Schwarz” not “Princess Anastasia”.
5. Not allowed to get silicone breast implants.
18. May no longer perform my now (in)famous “Barbie Girl Dance” while on duty.
80. Not allowed to wear a dress to any army functions.
81. May not bring a drag queen to the battalion formal dance.

Doesn’t make a good woman. I’m sorry to say but I agree this is a mental health issue. Its not like they’ve been burned horribly or were born as hemaphrodites, the latter being a real physical problem (and both *potentially* requiring surgery to correct). Feeling like your a woman trapped in a man’s body of vice versa is entirely a PSYCHOLOGICAL problem.
OK, someone probably already has said this but does anyone else think that looks quite a lot like Glenn Close?
Unless that dude finds a way to make a genetic switch of a chromosome, HE will always be a HE, no matter what surgery is performed.
Putting a Camaro body on a VW chassis doesn’t make it a Camaro. It’s still fucked up.
If I beg enough, will you pleeeeeeeeeeease promise to not post that photo again, Jonn?? Pleeeeeeeeeease??????
And what exactly for his being tansgender have to do with DADT? Why is s/he bringing that into the equation? Is it a man who identifies as a woman, or is it gay?
What does sexual orientation have to do with gender identity disorder?

You don’t even have to cite Psychology papers. All you have to do is look to liberals in our law system here in America. US Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Elena Kagan and Stephen Breyer seem to be all in favor of looking to foreign laws when interpreting the US Constitution.
So one can no longer say “it can’t happen here in America, America is different”. With liberals in power and defining “interpreting the US Constitution” to mean “using whatever the fuck we want to use, from whatever country, for our decisions”, they are slowly working to get us away from being governed by that restrictive, outdated silly little document called the US Constitution.
W.T.F. over? Just remember in the final days of Rome, everything was deemed acceptable.
[…] so long as he doesn’t do like Autumn Sandeen and starts wearing a female Navy uniform in public. By the way, that particular link comes with […]
Hey all… been a lurker here for a bit, posted a couple of times under the “SpongeBob’s Dick” sockpuppet tag. But seriously… WTF?
For those not familiar with navy rank, he/she/it is an “FC” (Fire Control Technician). A weapons tech. My rank after 6 years was FC2 (or E-5). Got out in 1991 eligible to take the E-6 exam. FC was a pretty wide open rate, and if you weren’t a complete twatwaffle-infested shitsandwich, it wasn’t hard to make rate.
20 FUCKING YEARS OF SERVICE and only and E-6 (FC1)??? NO LOAD FUCKING LOSER… you suck donkey ballz. You are a fucked steaming pile of shit… take your political statement and shove it up your ass.
Fucking sully my rate, you POS….
/rant off
I was warned, “what is seen cannot be unseen”. Yikes! Help!
Nice chin, sister.
Colostomy bag.
@19 I always knew there was something a little off with FC’s.
I did check its ribbons, looking to see if it had reserve time. no such deal, but from what I can tell only two sea service ribbons. How the hell does an FC do 20 years and only deploy twice? That kinda helps explain not making chief. * along with no warfare qualifier.
my god do I need some eye bleach.
You dang ETs needed us FCs to fix your gear. “Little off,” my @#$!! 😉
Yeah… I was wondering about the two sea service ribbons, too. I got 2 in just the 4 years I was on the USS Downes (FF-1070), and she was about to be decommed when I left in 91. FC is a mostly sea-going rate… unless your an instructor, or a shitbag.
Nice to meet ya, shipmate!
