More boob bait for the birthers
Old Trooper sends this link about Hawaii’s new governor Neil Abercrombie’s futile search for Obama’s birth certificate;
“There is nothing more that Gov. Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document,” Abercrombie’s spokeswoman told reporters on Friday. “Unfortunately, there are conspirators who will continue to question the citizenship of our president.”
According to Evans, who claims that Abercrombie has been his friend “for decades,” the Hawaii Democrat revealed to him “there is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii, absolutely no proof at all that Obama was born in Hawaii.”
After promising to show us the birth records, it seems even the power of governor doesn’t help Abercrombie keep from being an idiot. Personally, I think the birthers are being played by this administration.

Great….more fuel for the birthers… I saw Eric Cantor get grilled about this on Sunday and it’s not Republicans keeping this alive. The freaking Democrats are keeping this out there and it somehow makes Republicans look like kooks…
The democrats are in fact keeping this alive because it takes focus off the issue. Mr. Obama came out of nowhere, his college records are sealed, his birth certificate is “misplaced” perhaps? Bush was attacked for making a “C” or two in college, we have no idea what courses or grades the Nobel prize winner took back in his college days. The liberals respond to requests for his birth certificate by calling them names and making them out to be stupid knuckle dragging morons. Why hide this information? What about the transparency Mr. Obama talks about?
There is a point where “what happened?” becomes “what do we do about it?” It’s way too late to concern ourselves now with whether President Obama was born here or not. He became and is President, and he’s the man we have to deal with. If we were that concerned about this issue, the time to address it was before he was elected.
Locking the barn door after the horse gets out is a futile exercise at best.
Someone in Texas is doing something about it. Don’t have the link, but I saw somewhere recently, legislation is being proposed to require that proof for someone running for President (or VP, too, since there is that potential…) before they can be placed on the ballot. There is no Constitutional mechanism to produce the proof – that is going to be up to the states…
This isn’t political theater, this is political vaudeville out in the sticks.
The birther movement was created as a last-minute attempt to delegitimize Obama’s candidacy – by Democratic supporters of Hillary Clinton, aka the Hill-Raisers and PUMA folks.
The movement was then changed to mean Republicans, and especially conservatives just like what happened in the Tuscon massacre. Governor Abercrombie is using this to keep Hawaiians attention away from the state’s dismal economy; and pluck the beards of conspiracy theorists on the mainland.

Texas, too. Though I don’t know the status on it.
If Obama was born in Mombasa there are far too many intel networks whose interests would be served to make it known. All actions taken by Obama would be null and void and he would be disqualified from having been President, as opposed to was President and resigned, became incapacitated or was impeached, which would mean the second highest vote for president from the 2008 electoral college would become president, that being John McCain, as opposed to Joe Biden ascending due to resignation, incapacitation or impeachment of a sitting president. If there was any possibility that our President was not born a naturalized citizen there are way too many interests powerful enough to acquire evidence of it and profit from the ensuring chaos of its release.
To all the birthers in La, La Land, it is on you to prove to all of us that your assertion is true (TOUGH WHEN YOU KEEP LOSING CASES), if there are people who were there and support your position then show us the video (everyone has a price), either put up or frankly shut-up. The way our US Courts work is that you get a competent lawyer, verifiable facts and present them to a judge, if the facts are real and not half baked lies, then, and only then, you proceed to trial. The Birthers seem to be having a problem with their so called facts that they present to our US Courts. Let’s face it no one will go along with you until you guys win a case, but until then, you will continue to appear dumb, crazy or racist, or maybe all three.
