If you don’t stop being violent, I’m going to kill you
Democrats, in an attempt to prove they’re not going to tolerate violent rhetoric in politics, make death threats against Sarah Palin in copious emails – the bravest death threats of all, made from behind a computer screen;
An aide close to Sarah Palin says death threats and security threats have increased to an unprecedented level since the shooting in Arizona, and the former Alaska governor’s team has been talking to security professionals.
Apparently Democrats are so blind to their own contributions to this acid-tongued culture, they don’t even recognize when they’re the only ones engaging in it.
The Left kind of reminds of George Costanza with this death threat thing;
Thanks to old Trooper for the ABC link.

It’s not a function of blindness or of recognition. It is a function of subscription to nihilist, Malthusian, frat-party philosophies that put the Leftist in extreme distress. The leftist knows that it is morally wrong to threaten someone, but assuages any guilt with the notion that nothing much will come of the threat.
By issuing threats of death, a more extreme form of what the Left considers acceptable speech, the leftist sees him or herself as protecting a growingly-scarce thing of value. The leftist also receives the extrinsic reward of being acclaimed by their fellows, perhaps job or monetary rewards, or shall we say ‘intimate’ relationships.
Leftists are neither blind nor suffer from a failure to recognize the implications. They choose to reap the rewards, intrinsic and extrinsic offered by their fellows.
Basically put: if the Left wanted to end hate speech, it’d take ’em about a week to shut down their own faithful.
I don’t condone any kind of threatening language. Having said that, it must be a bitch when you’re looking at “2nd amandment remedies” from the other end. Maybe I missed it, but I don’t remember you guys complaining to much when Sharon Engle threatened every progressive in the U.S.
And what you seem to be missing Joe is that the only reason anyone around here would complain about militant language is because of complaints about it from the Left. In other words, no one here is likely all that upset about the status quo in the rhetoric, but we can’t stand hypocrites or double standards.
Basically we would be pleased if the Left would shut their complaining traps until they clean up their own house first.
Well fuck, Joe, let’s dig up Thomas Jefferson and put his ass on trial too–I’m sure he’s incited immesurable violence with his comment, “And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”
Maybe I missed it, but I don’t remember you guys complaining to much when Sharon Engle threatened every progressive in the U.S.
Kanye West says you hate black people.
Oh, and Joe? Here’s another one of Jefferson’s quotes for you to choke on:
“Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of the day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers (administrators) too plainly proves a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing us to slavery.”
Ooo, let me let me!
This is one of my favorites:
“Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.”
Thomas Paine, The American Crisis, No. 4, September 11, 1777
Some psychologists theorize that beneath all interactions between males homo sapiens is the implicit threat of violence. Tuawk amongst yourselves. The threat becomes explicit when candidates put images of gunsights on opponent’s districts, threaten the opposition with 2nd amendment remedies, when citizens carry assault rifles to political rallies, when popular TV hosts talk about strangling or poisoning the opposition. Somehow all the conservative crocodile tears seem hollow at this point.
And why do you hold your side blameless Joe?
What follows is all atributable to Obama:
Republican victory would mean “hand to hand combat”
“They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun”
“Get in Their Faces!”
“I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!”
“Hit Back Twice As Hard”
“We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.“
“It’s time to Fight for it.”
“Punish your enemies.”
“I’m itching for a fight.”
And where is your’s or any of your ilk’s denounciation of the 8 years of threats and vitriol toward GW’s administration?
Your silence on that topic is deafening. 😉
#8 Joe, only if you believe in the failure of evolution to raise man above beasts. An equally valid theory posits the institutionalization of evil as a motivator in public and private discourse. Depends on one’s worldview.
And, you’re using a loaded term. “Assault rifle” has a legal definition. The incident you refer to had a gentleman legally carrying a legal-to-own weapon, not an Assault Rifle.
Again, if the Left truly wants to end the anger in rhetoric, Olbermann and Schultz would be bought out of their contracts.
Joe; I see you’re ignoring the FACT that not only was it a surveyors reticle, not a gunsight (you aren’t really up on the whole firearms thingy; are you? I could show you the difference if you want me to), but the FACT that the democrats used bullseye targets in their strategery maps, which has been chronicled ad nauseum. I think you need to lay off the “theorizing”, because it isn’t FACT.
I see you also ignored my responses to you in the cartoon thread…..SHOCKING Was it because your arguments were destroyed faster than a buffet line when Rosie O’Donnell shows up?
Here’s a little retro death wishlist for Joe to ponder: “Rush Limbaugh is beginning to look more and more like Mr. Big, and at some point somebody’s going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he’s going to explode like a giant blimp. That day may come. Not yet, but we’ll be there to watch.” — Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s Morning Meeting, Oct. 13, 2009. “So, Michele, slit your wrist! Go ahead! I mean, you know, why not? I mean, if you want to — or, you know, do us all a better thing. Move that knife up about two feet. I mean, start right at the collarbone.” — Montel Williams talking about Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) on Air America’s Montel Across America, Sept. 2, 2009. “He is an enemy of the country, in my opinion, Dick Cheney is, he is an enemy of the country…. You know, Lord, take him to the Promised Land, will you? See, I don’t even wish the guy goes to Hell, I just want to get him the hell out of here.” — Ed Schultz, The Ed Schultz Show, May 11, 2009. “I’m waiting for the day when I pick it up, pick up a newspaper or click on the Internet and find out he’s choked to death on his own throat fat or a great big wad of saliva or something, you know, whatever. Go away, Rush, you make me sick!” — Radio host Mike Malloy on the Jan. 4, 2010 Mike Malloy Show. “I’m just saying if he [Dick Cheney] did die, other people, more people would live. That’s a fact.” — Bill Maher on his HBO show Real Time, Mar. 2, 2007, NPR Legal Affairs Correspondent Nina Totenberg. After then-Sen. Jesse Helms (R-N.C.) said that the federal government was spending too much money on AIDS, National Public Radio’s Nina Totenberg, on the July 8, 1995 edition of Inside Washington, said, “I think he ought to be worried about what’s going on in the Good Lord’s mind, because if there is retributive justice, he’ll get AIDS from a transfusion, or… Read more »
“Somehow all the conservative crocodile tears seem hollow at this point.”
WTF?
Jonn, thanks so much for not banning Joe; what with choosing to not own a TV, I still occasionally want to Laugh my ass off at some funny douCHE. First thing I look for when I open TAH is to see if “JOE” is in the “recent comments” section.
Reloading my popcorn. Please, do go on!
Joe…. man, you kill me!
Joe: Your one-stop shop for already debunked leftist memes.
Has this site pest ever said anything that required a response more challenging than to simply cut-and-paste from a rebuttal to what other libtards have been spewing for days?
Joe: A day late and a dollar short. And seriously retarded, but you already knew that.
Coming back for more Joe? Better reload at that KOS seminar,
I’m certain there’s an Ivy League trained shrink there that can help you.
Joe, how about we review the many ways in which you are a douchebag.
Wow! This is great! Even better than the discussion with all the Liberal Socialist I’ve been involved with on Face Book.
Joe….nah It’s a waste of time.
Here a few more quotes for Joe…
“I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease….He is an absolutely reprehensible person.”
USA Today columnist and Pacifica Radio talk show host Julianne Malveaux on Justice Clarence Thomas, November 4, 1994 PBS To the Contrary
“Earlier today, a rental truck carried a half a million ballots from Palm Beach to the Florida Supreme Court there in Tallahassee. CNN had live helicopter coverage from the truck making its way up the Florida highway, and for a few brief moments, America held the hope that O.J. Simpson had murdered Katherine Harris.”
Bill Maher on ABC’s Politically Incorrect, November 30, 2000
“I hear about Tony Snow and say to myself, well, stand up every day, lie to the American people at the behest of your dictator-esque boss and well, how could a cancer NOT grow in you. Work for Fox News, spinning the truth in to a billion knots and how can your gut not rot?”
San Francisco radio talk show host Charles Karel Bouley in a March 27, 2007 article at The Huffington Post that was later pulled “at the request of the author.”
In my trolling of leftists sites, I have not seen the same types of stuff posted that would be labeled conservative and which do not have some sort of metaphorical meaning. The left only understands metaphorical speech when they themselves are using it. And they feel so superior when doing it!
They seem to lose brain cells when O’Reilly (Soros should be hung), Palin (don’t retreat, reload) use it. I’m just sayin’.
“threat becomes explicit when candidates put images of gunsights on opponent’s districts”, yada yada yada. And, we certainly expect that you’re going on Olberdork’s show to demand that the dems stop doing it, immediately, right Joey?
Joey, if really want to examine hate and vitriol, spend just one day listening to Mike Molloy, or Sgt Schultz, or Olberdork. Or, the president.
Oh, in #13, Jonn, it’s just Joey mixing metaphors and not even knowing he’s doing it.
