Bomb on Rome train?

| December 21, 2010

They’re not calling it a suspicious package, or a suspected bomb;

Italian news reports say an explosive device has been found in the subway system in Rome.

The ANSA and Apcom news agency said the device was found Tuesday inside a train during a stop in Rebibbia, on the outskirts of Rome.

ANSA cited a press release by the Atac company that runs the subway. Nobody was immediately available at Atac.

The area was cleared and bomb disposal experts were examining the device, according to the reports.

Apcom said the device had been left in a grocery bag underneath a seat, and was spotted by the conductor in the morning.

Meanwhile, in the US, al Qaeda seems to be changing it’s tactics towards the US according to Fox News:

A source with knowledge of the situation said authorities obtained information “a while ago” indicating a possible plot by associates of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula to target food at hotels and restaurants inside the United States, perhaps slipping harmful agents into salad bars or buffets.

“We don’t have a specific target or time frame, just the intent,” the source said.

I have always said that once these asswipes get smart we’re in REAL trouble. Looks like Darwinism is starting to take effect.

I’ve been amazed at our run of luck so far. It can’t last, and it’s gonna shock the hell outta this country when that luck dries up. I’m not looking forward to it.

Yep. So much for all the effing libs who insist we won’t be attacked and that there is no such thing as terrorism. I pity them and I don’t *want* to say SITYS, Unfortunately, I probably will.
