Spot the logical fallacy….
NYT apparently doesn’t see what is wrong with this passage:
Veterans health. Since the exposure of terrible conditions at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2007, Congress has dumped billions into the veterans health system. But there has been little follow-up to examine the quality of care and the cost-effectiveness of efforts by the Department of Veterans Affairs and other agencies.
Go ahead, you tell me what is wrong. If it takes longer than 10 seconds, just remember that these paid professionals don’t get it either…

Geee, couldn’t be because Walter Reed is DoD and they’re talking about the VA…2 completely seperate agencies could it?
I regret to inform you OT that you are over qualified to be a NYT editor.
Damn, I could use the pay raise too…
Hey, what did I win?
And the “terrible conditions at Walter Reed…” weren’t even on Walter Reed property, let alone not even close to “terrible”.
I am not now or have I ever been in the military and I knew that!
D-oh! Seriously? They apparently have not gotten rid of all the idiots in the village!
NYT… left/libtards who never served or (eww) even know anyone who did/does.
Now now, fellahs. The leftists have never been known to let facts get in the way of their storyline. They have a meme to push,. a particular propaganda story that they must feed to their gullible public, and by the Gods they won’t allow facts to interrupt that mission!
Frikkin’ morons.
And let’s not forget that the Bush administration over the course of their eight years increased VA funding far, far, FAR more than the Clinton administration (who in one year actually had a real dollar REDUCTION over the previous year) or the Obumbles administration, whose percentage of increases are, by comparison, chump change.
I spent several weeks at Walter Reed with my son in 2005 and the facilities and treatment were excellant.
The VA Care he is receiving now could be termed terrible. He gets a new primary care doctor every couple of months because the doctors quit. They are really expanding the VA facility but it has not changed the quality of care. I could go on an on.
I am sure that in some areas the VA Health System is very good.
Facilities at WRAMC are okay, but the people that need shitcanned are, in order:
Every union employee at WRAMC
The cleaning staff
The paper pushers
all non-medical personnel who have worked there longer than 5 years.
Every administrator who was there at the beginning of the GWOT, who assumed we’d suffer casualties along the lines of Gulf 1, and was caught flat-footed.
As an aside, the Mologne house is run down, from being filled to capacity every day for six years, the hospital sees a vast number of retirees who show a definite need for a world-class VA hospital in the area.
