IVAW’s Bateman on Operation Recovery
Someone sent us this video of IVAW’s Chantelle Bateman while she gets interviewed about the “Operation Recovery” protest the other day at Walter Reed
Apparently there’s a “basic human right to heal”. But that’s a pretty abstract concept. I get the impression that we’re deploying soldiers with unhealed bullet holes and shrapnel in their bodies, But I’m pretty sure that’s not what they mean…the message isn’t clear.
And what’s up with T-shirt? I know Chantelle went to Iraq with her reserve unit in Maryland (unlike most of IVAW members who haven’t set foot out of their hometowns except for basic training), so why does she need a shirt that says she knows someone who went to Afghanistan? Seems to me that she’s one of the few who can actually wear an Iraq Veterans Against the War shirt.
They all seem so confused.

I have that same shirt, thanks to AS. I wore it inside out at the Dog Park a few weeks ago.
I Love how they are espousing their ties with my awesome website.
You know all doctors are jews, and this war was started by the Jews. Mostly so that Jew Doctors could treat Non-Jewish Kids for injuries sustained in this Zionist war of oppression.
Also, I’madinnerjacket is a Zionist plant or a genius, ask me tomorrow.
More irrelevance. I need to punch myself in the nads next time I’m tempted to waste my time on something that stupid.
She should walk into a Taliban camp with a T-shirt with words like “I know some Taliban against the Afghanistan War.
From the way she is standing with the cap she is attempting to use the good reputation of the military to make her point and that she knows some veterans against the war proves nothing. Take any group of Gis and you will find someone who has a gripe or two.
From the “related videos,” “IVAW blocks entrance to Congress”
I don’t know when that was, but it looked to me that the media gawkers and LE trying to deal with the spectacle did more blocking than the costume wearers with cheap sunglasses trying to look all bad.
Anyway, keep up the good work.
I’d really like to see some enforcement of the restrictions against wearing items of a current military uniform by civilians. If she’s a current USMC reservist, she belongs in the brig; wearing that cover (hat) while making a political statement is a gross violation of uniform regulations.
#6- Yeah, let’s throw her ass in the brig for wearing her old USMC cover. Cause that makes a lot of sense & doesn’t waste any taxpayer dollars.
