The IVAW Board sheds three directors

| September 3, 2010

I just got a message from the IVAW that they’ve had three members of the Board resign this week;

Unfortunately, three directors resigned from the board at separate times and for separate reasons on this day. Those board members are as follows: Matthis Chiroux, Geoff Millard, and Cameron White. None of the Board members that resigned have resigned from IVAW at this point and we look forward to their continued contributions to the organization and the movement.

For those of you who may not know, Cameron White was in the Marines for four years and had two tours of Iraq. TSO supported him in the Board elections last year.

An anonymous reader sent this message;

Matthis didn’t exactly resign of his own accord. It happened after being strongly encouraged to step down by the rest of the board.

Also, after Millard lost his chair seat, he threw a fit, made empty threats to cut his financial ties to the organization(of which he has none) and then quit the board in a huff.

You can probably verify these facts through the national office. I hope you can get the word out, because although you may not respect IVAW, it should be noted that malingerers, frauds, and megalomaniacs are finally being weeded out.

So the Board looks like this now:

Chair Person; Garett Reppenhagen
Co-Chair; Joyce Wagner
Treasurer; Jeremy Berggren
Secretary; Sara Beining
Assistant Treasurer; T.J. Buonomo
Assistant Secretary; Adrienne Kinne

Garret Reppenhagen is a moderate member, Joyce Wagner came out against Matthis’ flag burning episode, Jeremy Berggren is the guy who claims to suffer from PTSD because he didn’t deploy. TJ is the guy who claims 5 years uf military service, four of which were in the Air Force Academy. Adrienne Kinne and Sara Beining are both Far Left socialist nutballs and Matthis supporters.

If they’re weeding out malingerers, what’s the excuse for Berggren’s continued presence?

Old Trooper

If they are getting rid of “malingerers, frauds, and megalomaniacs”, then why is Cameron out? He seemed like the most decent one in the group.

I would like o hear more of the reasoning behind the stepping down of the first two. Was Geoff asked to step down because someone finally had enough of the Combat Engineer sporting a CIB he never earned? Or did he get caught with his ‘financial support’ in the company coffers? What was Matthis’ reaction to the sacking?

aaaah… the sweet smell of poetic justice in the air. I think I’m going to go frolic now. lol. It’s only too bad that it took the IVAW this long when they had, um, how much advance warning from others? Hmm? How long again? =0P

“I think I’m going to go frolic now.”

Anon, you made me smile this morning. Thanks for that.

But do we actually want competent people to be running IVAW instead?

Freebirdnavybrat… my pleasure! Must be a beautiful smile! =D

None of the Board members that resigned have resigned from IVAW at this point and we look forward to their continued contributions to the organization and the BOWEL movement.

More appropriate, me thinks.

OldTrooper: Not all resignations are political. I know Cam had a lot going on. Sometimes the time commitment is just tough for people.

Are they “clearing the board” to make way for the incoming 1st Lt. Kyle BARWAN, poseur 2nd class? His general back pedaling, not accepting responsibility, and level of dislike by his facebook “friends” makes him a prime candidate. Add to that his total lack of service, as well as his total lack of respect for the military, he is a shoo-in.

SaraSoho

Hey, Just a minute here… Sara Beining is not a Far Left Socialist nutball and takes great offense to that. Sara Beining is a Libertarian and supports free speech.

yeah, Jonn, get your slime straight before you post it… he-he…

Sarah, I too support free speech. Matthis can burn all the flags he wants and I don’t think he should serve a day in jail for it. But just because it’s protected doesn’t mean it’s not petulant, divisive and distracting to any greater good your organization might be attempting to achieve. When you stomp on a flaming flag and scream “This is what we think of your country!” do you expect to foster calm and even discussion (and ultimately consensus) on issues that are infinitely more complicated than the “radical action, maaaaan” crowd seems to be capable of grasping? Or do ya ‘spose you’re more likely just to piss people off, and be summarily dismissed as the confrontational tools such an action would reasonably suggest you all are?

I don’t suppose you’ll be taking up the torch (NPI) on behalf of “Burn a Quran day” with the same zeal with which you defended Matthis…
