Stuart Smalley takes a nap

| June 30, 2010

You’d think that someone who has no legal training yet sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee would try to pay attention at his first confirmation hearing wouldn’t you?

It’s not like being a Senator is hard work or anything. In fact, the only requirement for the job is to stay awake – like Robert Byrd did for the most part. Feel well represented, Minnesota?

Well, after stealing the election with the help of Minnesota democrats what does he have to worry about?

In his defense, I nodded off just watching the video.

He does seem to have mastered the official senatorial expression and posture in his short time in office; the contemplative frown and slightly disapproving lean.

C’mon, this is from the same state of moonbats that elected Jesse Ventura as governor. Unfortunately, their fuckup is our pain.

No I do not feel well represented. But on the plus side, he learned his lesson and didn’t nap at all on day 2. Instead, he doodled pictures.

Too bad he’s not up for reelection this year.

OldTrooper

I’m with Dave, I don’t feel well represented.

USMC Steve

He cannot cause any more trouble and destruction that way, so let us leave him snoozing. What a maroon!

Claymore

I don’t care what anyone says, I think Paul Blart is totally working that blue dress and pearls. Rawr.

It’s the snoozer-snoozee / chicken-egg dilemma.
Besides, Franken does’nt need to think about his votes.
