“Change our policies”
Sparky mentioned Rosalyn Carter in the comments below, probably because he saw this interview with her on Fox and Friends. WHile she was hawking her new book, for some reason, Steve Doocy asked her what she thought of the attempted bombing this weekend. When asked why she thought people would want to do this to the US, she responds that people don’t like us for our policies and that we should “change our policies”.
Yeah, that’s what we’ve done in the last two years and attacks against us have seemed to increase in the number of attempts.
Doocy says that President Carter didn’t have to worry about terrorism – completely false. Jimmy Carter was the last president to walk down the length of Pennsylvania Avenue for his inauguration – Ronald Reagan had to ride the route in a bulletproof limousine because Jimmy Carter’s policies had been such a failure.

Because it is bad for one’s karama, and possibly a crime since he was once CIC, I won’t say these two should just die. Rather, why can’t they be hit by some disease or malady that causes them to be mute?
Someone should tell ol’ Roz there that her husband is a prime reason why we have many of the problems in the ME we currently enjoy, such as Hezbollah, Al Qaeda in Iraq, the support for the Taliban, making nukes while giving the rest of the world the finger…stop me if you’ve heard enough.
Post hoc, ergo propter hoc. Another case of false logic…..
Do you even have a brain, Joe? Or is it that you just enjoy trolling?
Oh, the irony of you preaching faulty logic.
Again, Joe–the Shah wasn’t a very nice guy, but even you’ll have to agree he was a damn sight better than what replaced him, and had Carter offered support WITH CONDITIONS instead of pulling the fucking rug out from under him, we might have avoided a whole lot of mess over the past 30-plus years. Then again, he showed such adroitness regarding Afghanistan, the Soviets, the Panama Canal, telling us all to put on a sweater, and the “misery index”, that it’s amazing that this fucking clown gets any airtime at all, let alone anyone from his administration or his immediate family, yet there they are….
I shared an airplane with that woman, once, on a ride from Atlanta to Minneapolis (I was coming home on leave) and I can tell you that she is not the brightest bulb in the tree. I will relay the story sometime when I have more time to tell it.
Why is Joe talking about hocking up teleprompters?
“Doocy says that President Carter didn’t have to worry about terrorism -”
Ummm…. Carter Natn’l Security Advisor Brzezinski created the terrorist snake pit in Asscrackistan that spawned Bin Laden & AL Quaida crew…
“7 months after the interview for the CNN series, Brzezinski, in a interview for the French publication, Le Nouvel Observateur, was more forthright, and unapologetically claimed to be the mastermind of a feint which caused the Soviet Union to embark upon a military intervention to support their client government in Kabul, as well as training and arming extremists, which later became the Taliban government.
Q: When the Soviets justified their intervention by asserting that they intended to fight against a secret involvement of the United States in Afghanistan, people didn’t believe them. However, there was a basis of truth. You don’t regret anything today?
Brzezinski: Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter: We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war. Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war unsupportable by the government, a conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.
Q: And neither do you regret having supported the Islamic [integrisme], having given arms and advice to future terrorists?
Brzezinski: What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?”

Hey Joe I thought you were lost in the woods around this time in history…
JPJ, lol, I think he’s still lost in the woods. Or, at least, his mind is, what remains of it.
